We had a lovely getaway and it was nice to just relax and hang out just the 2 of us. However, we did end up doing a little shopping, and I wanted to look at stuff that I was curious about in Sephora. I may have did a little early birthday shopping, but unfortunately I was let down by many of the stores I went into.

Just an overview of what stores I hit up over the weekend are
2 Sephora's
2 CVS stores
Forever Twenty One
Bare Minerals Free Standing Store
MAC
Hot Topic

I am always upset with Sephora when I go in store and they are always sold out. I wasn't even looking for one of the newer UD palettes I liked the Vegan palette and just never picked it up. They were sold out of it at both stores. I asked if they had any,and the lady said no but we have the Naked Palette its way better. I found a few goodies at Sephora but not what I went in for.

Neither of my CVS stores even had an idea about the 50-75% off beauty sale. I asked the associate she said we have never had a sale like that before. I remembered a few items that I had seen on blogs that the girls had gotten 75% off and I found them and scanned them they were all 75% off just not marked. I didn't feel like doing the relay for makeup so I just left.

I did find some goodies at F21 but not the things I was looking for they didn't have any of the actual items I went in for. Bare Minerals was a bust because the associate said hello and then went back to talking on her phone about her new attorney boyfriend. The eyeshadows weren't marked, and neither were the blushes so I didn't know if I really wanted them or not. I swear its not me,but I seem to get the worst service in retail.

At MAC the girls were doing makeovers on themselves, and as lovely as they were I just felt like I was bothering them because they were working/doing makeup on each other. I left MAC empty handed,my husband asked if I was feeling alright at this point in our day. I did buy some fun stuff at Hot Topic which is not my store at all, but they do sell Mehron makeup. They had get 50% their clearance so that is exactly what I did.

I hate to always gripe when I get on here, I promise I am a nice person. I think maybe that is the issue because I feel like I am bothering people by asking for stuff. We had an amazing time on our little getaway and I did end up with some goodies.I will be sticking to online shopping for awhile I can spend hours on a website deciding if I want it or not.

I have a May favorites post ready for tomorrow.I will see you then, and please don't forget to sign up for my contest.

China Glaze Neon Shocking Pink and Celtic Sun
Okay so I know that I posted about how much I love these colors. I do love these colors they remind me of the 80's and they make me happy. However, they are streaky, dry very matte, and I am running into the same problem with these that I did the crackle. They are clumping up on the top of the wand, and around the lid/top. These are not the cheapest polishes even though I happened to get these 2 on a B1G1 deal I am still irritated. I have nail polish that cost 98cents and it doesn't do this. I recently saw on YouTube a video someone talking about how streaky and ugly her China Glaze Shocking Pink had turned.

Do you have this problem with your China Glaze? I do not store these anywhere that they are getting too hot or too cold. I just cannot figure it out and even with a topcoat they are still matte but at least it makes them a little glossy.

PS: I don't know if anyone else is having this problem but I am having problems with blogger.I cannot comment on any ones post or my own.It keeps logging me out, google says they are aware of the situation. So I am reading everyones post I just cannot comment.

Just a few years ago I got nothing but compliments on my skin.In all honesty I never really thought about it,I wasn't doing anything special it just was what it was. In high school I had break outs and oily skin, but after high school my skin was pretty much okay.

After having nothing but trouble with my skin for the past few years I thought back, what was I doing then that I am not doing now? I use to get told how my skin looked like a porcelain doll it was so flawless.  I want those compliments again, about a year ago I started getting cystic acne, and breakouts that I hadn't gotten in years. Thanks to Pro-Activ my skin is better but its not flawless or half as glowing as it was back then.

Okay Okay so the difference you may be wondering is I changed my foundation routine. I started really getting into Youtube, and watching all these videos.People saying I don't wear mineral makeup I only use Nars.MUF,Mac or whatever it may have been but it was liquid. Although I was a makeup artist with an array of liquid I stuck with mineral for myself. I became a chemist of sorts, mixing brands, concealers, foundations, primers and so on. I stuck my Bare Minerals in the back of the drawer and never looked back. I have tried several mineral foundations and it just didn't cover up my new acne scars.

I have some time off from work,no weddings or photo shoots this week so I am letting my face be bare. If I wear makeup I am going to wear my mineral foundations, or concealers. I have a full container of Bare Minerals Matte that I have used once, however I can already tell that its not the same as the Original formula. I will probably place an order on Sephora for that so I can go back to exactly what I was using. I will let you know how this works out for me, I know my face will love some fresh air.

Do you like mineral makeup? Has watching youtube or beauty blogs persuaded you to change your beauty routine?

I apologize for my absence from the internet.I am at the local library where I am checking out new books and I am attempting to make this post for the 10th time. The library connection is not what I would call fast by any means.

I have had no internet at my house for 3 days,it was spotty all day today and then around noon it finally just quit working again. They are suppose to be out for the 4th time in 3 days tomorrow and fix it again. I have lots of fun things to share with you guys as soon as its up and running again. If it won't let me post words,I know I cannot load pictures on this internet connection.

Please stick with me,I promise once the internet is back up and running I will be a blogging machine again. I tried getting online at Panera Bread yesterday and it said blogger was a blocked site so I gave up. I had to get online and check emails from clients, and get back with people.

Much love to all my crazy, beautiful makeup girlies

I will be back ;)

The hubby came home from work today with a little bag.He gave me the whole speech about how it's nothing but he wanted me to have it. He stopped by the CCO and bought me the Lady GaGa Lipglass from MAC. The pink one in the picture shown.

The last time I was at the CCO I had went to get the lipglass but I got caught up at other stores and forgot to go back for it. I had mentioned it only once that I forgot to get it,and he was out that direction today and stopped by and bought it for me.

Just thought it was too cute not to share heh.

Now I can add it to my growing collection of pink glosses:)

On Yahoo there was this article stating what men really think about your favorite makeup looks. Here is what the men had to say...What do you think?
for the original story in its entirety http://shine.yahoo.com/channel/beauty/make-up-women-love-but-men-hate-2479792/

1. Heavy foundation and powders: "The inch-thick powder is a huge turn-off," says Maxim senior editor Nick Leftley. "No guy wants to kiss a girl on the cheek and then find he¹s wearing foundation himself." A flaking face is one thing, but when your cheek becomes a palette of skin-tone colors, men pay attention...and not the good attention. "I'm always amazed to see women with two-tone faces, two apparently different shades of skin on the face, as if they apply makeup in the dark," says James Oliver Cury, the online editorial director at Maxim. "I'd rather see one greasy face than some sort of melanin imbalance. The nose should match the cheeks."

2. "Bumps": “I never liked, or knew of any other guy who liked, the Gwen Stefani "bumpit" look," says Henry Belanger, an editor atThe Good Men Project. "Be wary of anything that makes your head look unnaturally large."

3. Neon lipstick: Most of the fashion world agreed that electric pouts were a beauty "do" this season. Some men, however, beg to differ. "Orange lips are definitely a departure from what we're used to and not necessarily something a lot of guys I know really respond to just quite yet,” say fashion blogger John Januzzi of Lucky and the fashion website, Textbook.

4. Too-thin brows:"My pet peeve is overly plucked eyebrows," says David Swanson, Maxim's Features Editor."I mean, really? It's basically an advertisement that naturally you're hairier than Robin Williams. If it looks natural, we'd never have to wonder."
5. Bold eye-shadow: "I don't understand the revival of bright blue eyeshadow," proposes Maxim's Cury. "Is it retro? Is it purposefully over-the-top? To my eyes, it just looks tacky no matter how you wear it." Lucky's Januzzi isn't as bothered by color as he is by application. "Smoky eyes--when done right are great--very sexy and attractive but when done wrong they look a total mess," he says. "Seek professional guidance before trying at home."

6. Rosy cheeks:
“As far as make-up goes, I think rouge is for old ladies,” adds Good Men Project's Belanger. "I think guys generally prefer the kind of make-up you don't notice is there, and since there's a lot that guys don't notice I think women have a lot of leeway."

7. Two-toned lips:Remember Kim MathersEminem. According to our dude survey, the pucker problem was more serious. "When I see thin lines drawn around a pair of lips, I think: Is this part of some gang initiation rite?" says Cury.

8. Glitter:"Women need to be judicious with it," says Cury. "It¹s like any good seasoning. You shouldn't shake it all over. It can overwhelm the main course." That being said, he's not opposed to a heavy sprinkle of cleavage glitter. Figures.

Do you wear any of these looks?

Price:Less than $7 depending on where you buy it,I bought mine at Target with a coupon.I saw it last weekend for $3.00 at Big Lots.

The Claim: Use it 2-3 times a week and it will help with your dry frizzy ends.It will not make your hair greasy.

The Results: As you know I am on the journey of beautiful Kardashian hair. I used it 3-4 times a week, for 2 weeks. It first of all didn't make my hair greasy so I was okay with 2nd day hair. It also didn't come off on my pillow case or bedding and make it greasy. So right away I was very happy with those results. When I washed my hair with my normal shampoo and conditioner, it rinsed out clean and my hair felt soft. I can tell a different in the ends of my hair and the amount of flyaways. This is however after I use the product, and wash my hair. I cannot tell a difference in my hair on the days that I don't use it.

Which is not a huge problem because I use oils or serums in my hair when I get out of the shower anways. I do like this product and I believe if you weren't abusing your hair like I do it would be amazing, not just good.

My hair history:I have been dying my hair since I was just a teenager. Over the years I have went to the high end salons, and been dying my hair at home compulsively. Last year I decided to go dark to avoid dying my roots all the time. About six months ago I went back blonde I couldn't handle it anymore. Now although I am a natural blonde,I like to be reallyyy blonde. I was going to a salon every 4 weeks to get the roots touched up. Before I left the salon I had been talked into every new product that was going to make me look like I had swapped hair with a Victoria's Secret Supermodel.

I have tried dying my hair with other at home colors, even going to Pro stores buying what they told me was perfect and not getting the results I wanted. I was in Target 2 months ago and I saw this beautiful blonde with the color hair I had been getting from the salon(see the box above). My roots are the issue the rest of my hair stays that beautiful blonde color on the box.

The Product:Loreal Excellence Blonde Supreme -Extra Light Natural Blonde 02 is the shade
I pay anywhere from $4.00-9.00 depending on coupons and which store I am at. It comes with a pre-treatment for your ends.Plus a nice deep conditioner for your hair after you dye it.

The Review:
I wanted to show you the back of the box because my roots after they are dyed come out to the top shade, the lightest color. Now my roots are a dark brown, but I have short to mid length hair so a bottle goes a long way with me. You have to be patient, and give yourself enough time to reapply. This is what I do and what works for me,please DYE at your own risk!

1.Apply hair dye to my roots only and leave for 45 minutes
2.Check my roots in the mirror make sure its saturated and if all is well rinse off
3.Dry only my roots and reapply hair dye to my roots for 20 minutes
4.If needed I apply to the rest of my hair for 5 minutes
5.Rinse out of my hair using the conditioner that comes with the dye
6.I apply my leave in products, let air dry and style as normal

Allowing myself enough time to reapply has given me the exact results I have been wanting. If I go more than 5 weeks I absolutely have to reapply if I do it at 4 weeks I am okay with the first application.

PLEASE do not go out and dye your hair because of this review hehe what works for me may not work for you and I cannot come to your house and help you:) I know my hair and like I said I have dyed it off and on since I was a teen.

Do you dye your own hair? Are you a slave to the salon? Don't comment and tell me how perfect your hair is because I am already jealous just thinking about it hehe.
