I'll be back tomorrow with a brand new post and I have several post already lined up for this week. I promise some fun new blogs from me, things have slowed down around here for awhile so I want to get back to serious blogging :) Let the celebration begin heheh
When I dye my hair blonde, I want it brown
The beautiful Kate Upton source kate-upton.com
Then after all that I want bangs
or when I cut it short I go out and get extensions.

When I workout and take care of myself I expect to look like this hehe
however, that hasn't happened yet :)
Is it just me or is it hard being a girl sometimes hehe, but wouldn't have it any other way :)
Can you tell that I am having a hair crisis at the moment? I can't decide what I want to do after spending so much time on getting the perfect shade of blonde heh. Now I want a beautiful darker shade for the fall and winter. I keep seeing all these beautiful celebrities with hair that I would love to have, but I can't make up my mind :)

I bought these goodies when ELF was having HALF OFF so the prices listed are full price I paid half of that.
1. ELF studio pigment shadow in Golden Goddess $3.00
2.ELF studio pigment shadow in Breezy Blue $3.00
3.ELF studio lip treatment in Peaceful Pink $3.00
4.ELF Essential lipstick in Sociable $1.00
As you can see the pigmentation is great, the shadows are without a base and swiped with my finger not even with a brush. The lipsticks are very pigmented and I LOVE them. Everyone complains about the packaging for the $1.00 lipstick, go to your local craft store and get a container to depot them. I have de-potted all of mine and use a lip brush it allows you to layer and mix and match to make your own shades. Michael's sales them that are 4 and 6 containers and that would fit in your bag. You tube has a lot of videos on how to depot your lipsticks, its super easy. However, when people ask you what color you are wearing you will have to explain you mixed a bunch of colors together to get it and wait for that look of confusion hehe.
I also took advantage of the half off to get new studio contour brushes, stipple brushes, kabuki face brush,HD powder, makeup remover wipes, contour and blush set, eyelash curler and just basically things for backup and or my kit. I also am in love with the Essential Line Waterproof eyeliner pen, I bought a few more in Black and I LOVE the Teal shade too. They have been lasting through this 97degree weather, so I wanted to get more at half off.
Okay that should be the last of my ELF hauls for awhile :)
If you liked what I purchased but you don't live a near a Target elf.com has posted all these goodies on their website.
Let me know what you get :)
Urban Decay All Nighter, Mehron Barrier Spray, Elf Makeup Mist and Set, Mac Fix + and Makeup Forever Mist and Fix.
Wow that was a mouthful, now in all fairness these are not all suppose to be the exact same thing. I have over the years purchased many different products to help my clients keep their makeup on, and mine as well during the hot summer months. I will compare the ones I have used, why I liked or didn't like them.
Mehron Barrier Spray- 9.99 for 2oz (Mehron products are not animal tested)
What they say:Barrier Spray™ may be misted on top of finished powder makeup to set and preserve the makeup application. Barrier Spray™ can be used under makeup to stop sweat or over makeup to set it.
(I bought mine at Hot Topic for $2.00 on sale)
Urban Decay All Nighter-29.00 for 4oz (UD all nighter is a Vegan product)
What they say:A revolutionary, technologically advanced makeup-setting spray that's suited for all skin types and keeps your makeup in place for up to 16 hours.Temperature Control Technology prevents makeup from a melt down when it's warm and avoids makeup dehydration and cracking when it's cold.
MAC Fix plus:1 oz for $10.00 (MAC is not tested on animals/even carry vegan products)
What they say:Adds radiance, finishes makeup. Spray it on. Skin drinks it up
Makeup Forever Mist and Fix 4.22oz for $27.00 (not a cruelty free product)
What they say: A light and comfortable spray that sets all types of makeup and prolongs hold, even under extreme conditions.
ELF Makeup Mist and Set 2oz for $3.00(No animal testing)
What they say: The lightweight, comfortable and alcohol free formula improves makeup wearability and prevents color from running or fading.
Okay now my review:
I prefer both Mehron and Urban Decay for my setting sprays. They are made to use before and after the makeup to hold your makeup on like a primer. I feel they are both what have worked for me and my clients. I use to live in South Florida and it was seriously the only thing that kept their faces from melting off. I recently started using Mehron which is made for stage makeup, so it a little hardcore for every use. It does not break me out, I only use it when I know its gonna be a long hot day. For my everyday use I always find myself reaching for UD All Nighter.
Now the Mist and Set products I prefer......ELF yeah I said it I paid $1.50 for it and it was just as good as my MAC fix plus and my Makeup Forever Mist and Fix. I know I know it hurts me and my wallet just saying that. These are a little different because they don't seem to hold my makeup on. They however do make my mineral makeup blend into the skin. They make it look less cakey/creasing after a long hot day.
Between the three of them, I have not noticed that one does anything better than the other. I like all three but for $1.50 I will just keep buying ELF. I do not think any of them are life changing but for what I use it for ELF works amazing for me.
So now tell me what do you use? Is there one I didn't mention that you think I should?
Nars Eyeshadow Duo Nouveau Monde just a beautiful eyeshadow duo, I have used it with the Naked Palette making different looks and I love it!
Naked Palette there is nothing I can say that hasn't been said but I cannot believe I waited so long to pick it up heh.
Sephora Mineral Foundation was picked up for $5 on a whim when I saw it on their website last month. I do like it the lightest color is still a little dark for me. I have been mixing it with Bare Minerals and Everyday Minerals to make it the right color. I however cannot find a definite answer if it's a cruelty free product or not.
Bare Minerals Warmth I have been using this with my new ELF Kabuki brush and I have always loved this. It gives you a perfect glow and just wakens up your skin.
UD All Nighter is a great product that I have been using on these hot hot days not only for myself but also on my bridal clients. I also appreciate that Urban Decay All Nighter spray is Vegan :)
