As you know I have been on a "No Dye" with my hair for over a month now. I use to be a blonde fanatic and couldn't stand just a little bit of darker root. So I stopped dying my hair after going dark auburn, then it faded to an ombre dark blonde to blonde.

I have recently also been trying to finish up products in my shower that I quit using or just hadn't used since I was blonde. I had bought brand new Pantene Pro-V Blonde Expressions Shampoo so I thought my hair is blonde now I can use it. Now I will admit I had used it once before last week but didn't really notice any difference. I also have other Pantene products that I have used and actually just finished up.

Anyways, after I get out of the shower I notice my hair is shedding a lot more than normal. I just assume it's because it was in a tight bun before the shower maybe it caused a little damage. I go on with my routine and let it air dry and then finish it off with a little hair dryer. My hair was so many different shades of blonde and the texture was like straw. My hair has never felt like this or at least not since my bad 6th grade perm.

My whole entire head is a different shade than when I went into the shower. Plus it feels like I washed my hair with dishwashing liquid my hair is slick and if you have ever used dish soap on your hair you know what I mean. So I googled this issue and I cannot believe the pages that I found about girls who have the same issue with Pantene. I immediately called my sister with a Thanksgiving Hair Emergency and she said don't you remember when we use to use Pantene it always made our hair fall out. It was like ten years ago so give me some credit for not remembering.

I tossed this shampoo and all other pantene products. This is just my opinion but anything that can damage my hair like that in one use is scary. The chemicals that must be in there to literally strip hair dye out of my hair and make it a completely different color, yikes! I won't be out doing any Black Friday shopping anyways but I will be out getting some hair dye to fix this disaster.

This is just my opinion and what happened to me, I clearly have no affiliation with Pantene and have not been in contact with them.
This is the page I read just a few of the complaints, and Makeup Alley also gives a pretty accurate review of how I felt just a lot of other girls to verify that I wasn't crazy.

Have you had this happen to you? I will be buying Sulphate Free Shampoo from now on heheh

This is not a beauty post but I am sitting here getting ready for the day. I always put on Pandora and as I get ready and it sets the mood for whatever makeup look I end up doing. It's pouring rain outside and Adele-Someone Like You came on and instead of the usual sad mood it puts me in heh I started laughing.

This is why, I hope it makes you laugh and  I hope everyone is having a great day rain or not :)

This interview was in the Huffington Post (on their website) and I love Mally so I wanted to share with you.
All credit for this interview goes to John Gascot and the Huffington post to read the full article please follow this link Mally Interview

a few of my fave parts of the interview

JG: When did you know a career in beauty was for you?
MR: It was one of those things that was kind of always in the back of my mind! When I was younger, I was obsessed with makeup! I couldn't wait to head down to the drugstore to buy the newest eyeshadow and lip stick. Only thing was, I never really realized you could actually have a career in beauty! Once I got my first taste of makeup in the "professional world," during fashion week, I was hooked.
JG: What three makeup item should no woman leave home without?
MR: Concealer, lip gloss, mascara!
JG: You've done such beautiful work on so many celebrities. Who have you not worked on that you'd kill to get into your chair?
MR: There are SO many! I would LOVE to get my hands on Nicki Minaj! Not only is she absolutelygorgeous, but she has this incredible confidence, and this beautiful energy! Together, we could definitely have some fun!

This is part of an older interview with her from People.com and this is just something that stood out to me!
Her one rule: My mom and dad had one rule: Treat everyone the way you want to be treated — with respect and kindness. That’s the way my husband and I live our lives, and I can’t wait to instill this in my girls.

Most Worn for October( I found myself reaching for these items over and over)
1.MAC MSF Petticoat
2.ELF Cool Bronzer
3.ELF Complexion Perfection
4.Bare Minerals SPF 15 Original Formula Foundation
5.ELF Creme Blush in Flirt
6.Smashbox Primer in Green
7.Maybelline Mineral Concealer
8.ELF lash exact (for bottom lashes)
9/10. L'oreal and Rimmel Lash Flirt Mascara's

This is not a favorites because there isn't anything new or exciting to talk about. These are just a few items that I have been using a lot more than most items in my collection. Since my skin has cleared up I have just doing very simple daily makeup. It's kinda slowly down around here for me so I am letting my skin breathe and just being more natural. I do love these products, if you have any specific questions please ask.

Thanks for stopping by!

1.ELF Waterproof Eyeliner Pen $1.00
2.Wet and Wild H20 Waterproof liquid liner $3.99
3.Smashbox Bionic Mascara $19.00
4.Maybelline Eye Studio Trio Creme Eyeshadow in  Purple Radiance $5.00
5.NYC Metal Eyes Creme Eyeshadow in ONYX $2.99

Why they didn't work for me...

1)I had mentioned these Eyeliner Pens in my favorites because apparently I had gotten lucky with the first few I bought. However, I ordered 1 in every color from the website and they have been terrible. They are dry,you can't put it over eyeshadow because it drags the shadow off with it. The black looks gray because it's so light on the eye. I will admit that the Teal shade is the only one that has consistently worked for me, and during the summer I wore it on the bottom lash line. They are only $1.00 but for it being a hit or miss I wouldn't waste my time hoping to get a good one.

2)This product flaked off on me throughout the day, laying on my face so if I was to swipe my face it would leave a streak of product on my face. It went on very watery and not very black at all. Then when it came to taking it off it also just came off in pieces which lead to it smearing all over my eyes and even with trying all my might I couldn't keep it from going into my eyes. It doesn't have to be waterproof if its gonna flake off anyways, one day it actually peeled halfway off.

3)This is the greatest upset because of its price tag that it did nothing for my eyelashes. It put product on them and made them black but other than that, nothing. I am using it a long side my other favorite lash products to use it up. I hate to just toss it, but it didn't make them thicker or longer so I have to say for $19 not impressed.

4)This product I picked up at the local Big Lots so I only payed a few bucks for it. I loved the colors and when swatched they are really pretty. However, they crease even with a primer and powder over top. I tried them several ways to make them work for me but it just creased. They were so oily that they literally worked their way up with the shadow into my crease line. So I had nothing on my eye anywhere but in the crease. They still sell these at CVS and Walgreens so be mindful that there are great products in Maybelline just not these.

5)This product was hard as a rock and would not blend out for nothing. I used my finger to dig into it and put it on my hand to try and get a swatch and it just rolled up in a ball on my hand. I tried it as a liner but it just doesn't show up it has no color to it at all. So for $3.00 I will say pass on this product. I also got it in a purple and brown shade in hopes that this was gonna be a great cheap creme shadow. They are all the same and no color payoff.

ELF Body Shimmer in Cosmic Coral: .35oz for $3.00
NARS Multiple in Cannes: .50oz for $39.00
Sonia Kashuk Cheek Sheer in Beach Bum $9.00
New York Color blushable creme stick: .28oz for $2.99

These are just a few creme products in stick form that I have. I just wanted to give you an idea of pigmentation, price and size. I love NARS multiples I have at some point had probably every shade they had. I end up giving them away because I don't use them enough. I think for the price ELF and NYC are great products. The Sonia Kashuk I have 4 shades in the Cheek Sheer and they are all very pretty, however they are expensive for the size. I have placed an order with ELF to get the rest of the shades for the rest of the Body Shimmers.

They all offer great staying power, and if used with a powder they will last for the duration of your day. So tell me what multiples have you been using? Do you have a favorite? Have you tried any of these?

Color: Cosmic Coral
Price:$3.00
eyeslipsface.com

How I use it: I apply it to the back of my hand, a little bit goes a long way. Then take a stippling brush and apply it as a highlighter along my cheekbone. I have been using the Tarte blush in Tipsy a long with this and it looks so gorgeous. It last all day, and I have gotten a lot of compliments on the beautiful finish that it gives.

They have 4 shades which I am going to place a new order to buy them.  I would compare it to the same type of product as NARS multiples it is the same concept, and same type of product. I love my NARS multiples and use them a lot on clients. I will be trying the rest of the shades on some clients and see what they think.

Have you tried these? Let me know what you think!

I remember the moment I fell in love with makeup, and all things girly. Even when I went through my tomboy stage I still put sparkly glitter nail polish on the soles of  my Vans or Air walks and did my hair and makeup for the basketball games. I have been cutting peoples hair, and doing their makeup since I was a 12.  It is something that I have always loved and enjoyed being a part of. Long before there were You tube videos, blogs, twitter, and especially before I even knew what a Sephora was.

I have an older sister who is also an amazing makeup artist, who has I believe was born with a mascara wand and makeup brush in hand. She got me into doing makeup and even taught me how to do my very own perm in the 90's(shut up, it was the 90's). We use to buy Sassy magazine,YM and Seventeen and do makeovers on all the neighborhood kids.

Makeup and beauty has always been fun for me. I feel like since You Tube and the beauty blogging community has become so big it's not fun anymore. I want to learn something, see something different,be intrigued by what you say. If everything you put out there isn't out of honesty, and isn't coming from a good place then I don't have any interest in what you say. I only have 97 followers on my blog, and I turn down companies. Yes, I have turned down several companies who want to send me something that I have no interest in. I am honest to them and let them know that I will be honest to you. They decided to not send it to me, so it tells me that the reviews I see on these products are probably not in good faith.

I think it's amazing what can come from being a part of this community. The opportunties are endless, and they are amazing. I have met some of the greatest people just since I started this blog. I want you to know that I will not be posting endless reviews on things that are sent to me. I won't be rambling on about all my newest things, because money doesn't equal talent. I will keep my post to things that I want to share, I am not saying I don't do post that are frivolous. I don't care if you want to do a post a day about the Kardashian's at least you are being honest about who you are and what you like.

I hope you take this post as it is meant, and know that I love being apart of this community. It just takes a few bag apples to ruin it for me sometimes. I love seeing your reviews, your input, new thoughts and ideas. I look forward to doing new post, and to seeing yours.
