I went to Walgreen's and Sally Beauty Supply and bought some goodies. I also went to the Dollar Tree and bought some new hair stuff,more cute fake nails and the leopard print place settings you see in the pictures. I am using them to sit my makeup on on my shelves,my nail polishes mostly in case they open up or spill over.

What did you buy this weekend?

I took a canvas and put pictures of makeup,clothes,quotes,men,and just fun stuff. Then I did the crayon melt over the top of it. This isn't the final picture because I am framing it and I went back and melted the crayons a lot more. I have to wait to frame the picture so I was eager to show you!

If you are interested in doing this yourself it's super easy.

1.Buy Canvas whatever size you want :)(Make a collage of all your favorite things,quotes,or a picture)

2.Buy Crayons in your desired color, I bought a 64 pack because it was what they had at the grocery store. If I had thought about it I would have went with the neon,or pastels to be more vibrant. Don't buy cheap ones from the dollar store they are more oil so they won't melt as pretty.

3.I took the wrappers off of the crayons by soaking them in a bowl of water for a few minutes each. You can leave them on if you want that look.

4.I just used craft glue that's called Tacky Glue, and had no problems. You can use a hot glue gun or whatever you prefer to get the crayons to stick. Let them sit for an hour to be sure they don't slide down the canvas.I did it at night and just let it sit overnight and started in the morning.

5.Then take your hair dryer and set it to low speed high heat and melt those crayons. I did it slowly, to get the look above. I went back after and melted certain area's longer to get a more messy look.

6. Allow to dry-then frame if you wish

I will be putting mine up over my makeup area, it's different and fun and has all my favorite things. Let me know if you try it!

I went through some makeup that I hadn't used in some time and got rid of the old. I had a eye makeup such as liners and mascaras that were not pretty. I had 9 mascaras that were old that I had to toss. Then I had 8,  yes 8 gel liners or cream base/shadows that were dried out. I remember reading a long time ago that you could use several different methods to get them revived again.

I had NYC,Tarte,Maybelline,Sonia Kashuk,Wet and Wild,Jane and Estee Lauder brands in different shades from brown,black,plum and bronze. 

The method I used which worked great for me was 

1.Take eye drops I used this brand for redness relief which I have in my professional kit and I use for myself. When you have early wake up calls you need these plus clients don't want red eyes either.

Anyways, take the eye drops and put 3-4 drops into the liner

2.Take a small object like a Popsicle stick or I used the end of a makeup brush to blend the liner together with the drops.

3.After you get it back to a blend able consistency you can take the end of the brush and mold it back into the jar.

4.Start with 3-4 drops then add as you need, if you go a lot of drops to start with it may become too runny to repair.

This method worked for all of my liners and shadows except the Tarte. I don't know if it's because they are natural and when it's done that's it. I waited 4 days to do this post to make sure it wasn't just beginners luck.

*Please note that none of these shadows or liners were old or expired they had just dried out. If your product has an odor or is beyond it's good by date please toss it.

*I did not use contact lens cleaner I used eye drops, if you Google or you tube different methods there are a lot of questionable ideas. Please be careful of what you use to do this, you don't want those chemicals in your eyes.

In case you haven't heard of the Kardashian's (tell me how you managed) they have several reality shows.A clothing line at Sears,Books,Nail polish line,Dash Stores,Diet Pills, and recently released the information about their own Barbie.

As a makeup artist I get asked for the Kim Kardashian smokey eye more than any other look EVER. It's interesting because I also get asked by a specific event they attended or something people saw on their show. Women ask me to make them look like the Kardashian sisters more than any other celebrity. Unless it's Halloween then everyone and their mom is Lady Gaga hehe. They are beautiful girls and have amazing style. I like to waste 30 minutes of my life watching them just to see their outfits. Kim Kardashian is reportedly worth 35million dollars,while her other 2 sisters are worth around 4 million each. They on average make $40,000 an episode for their E! reality shows. 

Whether you love them or hate them I am intrigued by them, and I love how glamorous they always look. So here are a few of my favorite pictures of them.

I should never go on Sephora's website when I have downtime. I had made a new years resolution to try and not waste money on buying makeup just to try it out. However, there are some new things that I saw that I am curious to try out. Let me know what you want to try and if you have tried any of these items.

This is something I got in my stocking at Christmas so I just wanted to tell everyone how much I love it. Urban Decay is an amazing company and I usually love anything they do. So I had high hopes for their nail polish and if you are a nail polish addict don't skip out on.

I don't believe this particular set is still available on their website but they do have a Holiday set that I am ordering because I loved these so much.

I bought this wand over the holidays and let me tell you it was a really hard to get my hands on. My sister and I were shopping fools and we searched online to see if it was in any stores and they were sold out within 100 miles of me. Not only sold out of this curling wand but any curling wand at all even the $100 and above wands.

So I checked Target.com because the 2 Target stores we had been too did not have anything at all. They showed that about 20 minutes away at a Super Target they had a few different selections in stock. So we just  made a day of it and went shopping out in that area of town. I was lucky because they not only had 1 style but like 5 styles. I went with this one

You may have seen the commercials for Hydroxatone, or if you are a Home Shopping Network addict like myself then you definitely have seen these products on there.  I enjoyed everything about these products down to the beautiful packaging.
