Shadows,Blush and Highlighter Baked Palette from L.A. Minerals

These are a few of the shadows wet and dry. great color payoff!

These are the 3 blushes lightly swatched but very build able

Not only as a makeup artist but as a makeup lover I have truly enjoyed this palette. I love all the baked products it has to offer. You don't have to lug around individual products, you have it all in one. It's great because you get a lot of product with each individual shadow. You can use them for shadows, highlighter or blushes.

This palette is on sale for $39.99 and worth every penny. Especially if you want something that you can get a lot of use out of. I love the subtle look you can get without wetting the shadows or the dramatic shadows when you simply wet them.

If you want to try this product out go check out their website.

L.A Colors Blush In Blushing Pink $2

Swatched 2 times

I picked this up with hopes that it would show up at least a little bit. I was so surprised when I got home and tried it out and the color payoff is great. I also love the packaging it reminds me of the L'Oreal Hip Eye shadows packaging.

I will do a dupe post at another time but right now I just wanted to share with you how pretty it is. So if you are near a Dollar General or a Dollar Tree where they sell L.A. Colors be sure to check this blush out. Cruelty free and cheap my 2 favorite things heh.

Have you tried it? Is there any other L.A. Colors products I should try?

$22.00 from Organoderm.com

This product is amazing!

Great consistency for a foam cleanser!

I have used this product until there is absolutely nothing left. It has a great clean cucumber/fresh scent. It never left my skin feeling dry it just felt clean. The husband even started using it, and he isn't big into skincare but he liked it enough to use it a few times a week.It states that you can use it for the body, and if I wasn't so greedy with it I would have used it for my body too heh

I think this will work with any skin type, I have oily/combo and acne prone skin. I never noticed any new breakouts, or clogged pores while using this. I tried to use it 2 times a day but if nothing else I always used it in the A.M for my morning ritual.

Be sure to check out their website for more amazing products.

Let me know if you have tried any of their products, and what I should try next.

Moe's half burrito (the hubby and I split it) and half chips with lots of salsa

Tofu Pad Prik-Best Ever hands down

Our Vegan cookout with portobella's,squash, asparagus, zucc, jalepenos and more!

Kombucha and lots of watermelon for a snack or lunch on the go!

I try to eat fresh fruits and veggies and stay away from processed foods. The hubby and I try and stick with 80 percent fresh and then 20 percent live a little. These are just random foods I remembered to photograph. How have you been doing on your path to a healthier you? I got a little surprise at the Dr's office, I told the nurse how much I weighed and she didn't believe me. So I got weighed and I was 17lbs lighter than what I was the last time I weighed which has been awhile.

When everyone asked what I was doing I told them, Veganism and fresh foods. Then suddenly no one was interested anymore hehe.

I hope you are feeling healthy and whole today and thank you as always for stopping by!

The Make-Up-Matte is $22.95 on their website

from their Facebook showing you an idea of how it's used

I received this product a few months back for review consideration. I have taken this item with me on 2 vacations and I love it. Not only do I love how handy it is, but the patterns are so cute. There are a lot of different fabrics to pick from, but I love mine it is hot pink on the inside which is right up my alley.

The idea of this product is you can put your brushes in the designated slots, and your mineral makeup, blushes, shadows whatever you want in the bigger and then roll it up and take it with you. I am a makeup artist and this is an amazing tool for your kit when you don't want to lay your brushes down just anywhere. However, for my personal use I can just lay this across my lap and get ready in front of the hotel window with the best light.I can touch up my makeup while I am in a different room without lugging my huge kit into the room. It is also easy to wash, and you can't even tell that I have used mine almost every day since I got it.

This is an amazing item, and I suggest every beauty lover go buy one you will love it!

$29.99 ZinnBeauty.com or at Ulta Stores

I first have to say how much I love this packaging!

I like this product because it can be used for your face, body and hair. I like all in one products so they take up less space in your beauty closet/drawer wherever you store your stuff. This is also a certified pure and organic product so you can feel safe about putting it on your skin.

I have been using this product for the ends of my hair,my nails and my feet. I love putting this on my feet and then slipping on some cozy socks and sleeping in them. It has really changed my need to put on lotion 20 times a day because I don't feel like it is moisturizing. This oil is amazing and worth ever penny. I use it on my split ends at night and it doesn't leave a greasy residue on my pillow. It also works great after you blow dry and flat iron your hair to finish off the look.

I have a few other products from Zinn Beauty to review that I also enjoyed but this is my go to product from them.

Head on over to your local Ulta and pick it up or buy it online at Zinnbeauty.com

$29.99 for 6.7oz at Luvalla.com

Not only do I love and use Lavella products but so do celebrities like the cast of The Vampire Diaries, celebrities like Molly Sims and designer Nicole Miller.

I received this product about 3 months ago now to review. It's not only 100% Natural but it is also vegan and cruelty free. So that alone made me happy to try out the product knowing it's safer to put on my skin.

If you have read my blog for sometime you know that I still suffer from acne and combination skin. In the summer it is usually pretty bad with the heat, the sunblock and my makeup wanting to just melt into my skin. However, I have been using this product 4-5 times a week and I have noticed that I am not as oily. I don't get new breakouts as often and if I do have any they are gone much faster than before. It does not dry out my skin where I am prone to dryness, and helps keep oil at bay for the rest of my face heh. I also can see that my pores are a lot less visible with this product being added into my routine.

I know that you may think the price is a little much for a toner. I have several drugstore toners in my basket of stuff that I don't use and they were between $6-$10 dollars a piece. They not only didn't work for me but they dried out my skin so much it would peel for days. This is something I will not only repurchase when it's gone I will be looking into some of the other products they sell.

How I use it:
After I wash my face, I take a cotton round and wipe my entire face and neck with it. I focus on my nose and cheeks where my pores are more prominent. The smell is lovely and not harsh at all!

Have you tried it? If you do let me know what you think!

You know that this blog is usually beauty related but it all starts with inner beauty. My hubby is really into high impact workouts, and lots of weights. I am more of a hiking, long walks,or a quick run. Sometimes I am in the mood for a good cardio class but mostly I would rather just hike 14 miles at a slower pace and enjoy the scenery. My hubby would rather run the 14 miles and make his best time.

So I went on Amazon.com and found this Skinny Girl workout which is Yoga with a little cardio.

It breaks up the workouts in 3 different time increments or you can select to do them all together for 45 minutes total. I am not a Yoga person, but I was able to do the moves and feel the burn. I did feel better after it was done, and I felt like I got a workout.
It is by my favorite girl Bethenny Frankel who not only is business smart but beautiful too.She is 40 and has a 2yr baby girl she looks smoking hot.

I also saw that she has a line of workout gear that I am interested in. I like to support her but I also like the price tag and the stuff is cute.

$28 for active pants by Bethenny

So what's your new favorite workout? Let me know what I should be trying.

Hamadi Organics at http://www.hamadibeauty.com
Shea Hair Cream, Shea Spray,Healing Serum and Shea Leave In
Shea Hair Cream-look how thick and creamy this product is.

I love their motto Tested on Actresses Never On Animals!

I loved all of these products, they not only make my hair healthy but they smell amazing.
I used the Shea Spray for beach waves. The Healing Serum was a great leave in spray for my the ends of my hair. I did not feel like these products left my hair feeling greasy or oily and I didn't have any problems with build up.

The Shea hair cream is my favorite product out of all of them. It gives my hair a nice finished look after blow drying and flat ironing.

If you would be interested in trying any of these products check out their website http://www.hamadibeauty.com

Last week I stopped by Walgreen's doing my weekly browsing of the makeup section. I came across the Impress nails section and was curious to try them out. I saw they had the Holla! style on sale for half off, so I picked them up.

Holla! is pink with black lace and butterflies(on sale for $3.99 a Walgreen's)

Review: The Good
I have been wearing them for 4 full days and have only lost 1 nail. I lost it when I was carrying the laundry upstairs and the basket slipped and when I tried to grab it the nail popped off. I am impressed(<---haha) that through house cleaning, walking the dogs, working out and just day to day tasks I have only lost 1.

The Bad:
I don't like that they have such a fake nail shine too them. I did get compliments on them and I asked them if they looked cheap and no one else thought so or they were too nice to tell me heh. I think that $8 is a lot for some press on nails. I suggest hitting them up when they are on sale.

I think these would be great if you want nice nails for an event or just for fun. I don't think I will wear them on a day to day basis because they kinda get in my way of doing makeup :) I will however pick them up when I catch them on sale and save them for special occasions because even  at full price it's cheaper than going and getting them done.

Have you tried any of these?

As we all know Urban Decay had decided to start selling in China. Which would mean they would no longer be cruelty free. I have always loved Urban Decay and spend endless amounts of money buying their stuff. I not only buy for myself but for my kit. I have doubles of everything and a lot of their products I have triples of. I was truly upset to think that I would never buy from them again. I could not in good faith buy from them knowing they sold out to China(where it is mandatory to test on animals).

Here is what they released today:

After careful consideration of many issues, we have decided not to start selling Urban Decay products in China. While several factors were important in reaching this decision, ultimately we did not feel we could comply with current regulations in China and remain true to our core principles. We know there are many progressive consumers in China who would embrace an opportunity to purchase non-animal tested products - our hope remains that we have the chance to offer Urban Decay products to these consumers someday in the future.

Following our initial announcement, we realized that we needed to step back, carefully review our original plan, and talk to a number of individuals and organizations that were interested in our decision. We regret that we were unable to respond immediately to many of the questions we received, and appreciate the patience our customers have shown as we worked through this difficult issue.

Since our founding in 1996, we have been committed to ending animal testing in the cosmetics industry. As demonstrated by the renewed support we have received from organizations like PETA and the CCIC, this principle remains at our core. Urban Decay does not test its finished products on animals, nor do we allow others to test on our behalf, and we require our suppliers to certify that the raw materials used in the manufacture of our products are not tested on animals. Urban Decay is proud to be 100% cruelty-free.

If you have additional questions, please email us at info@urbandecay.com.

-----

Do I think it's okay that they wanted to sell in China to start with,No. However, I do think it takes a big company to say you know what we were wrong. We have never been about testing on animals, and we shouldn't start being. I will continue to buy from them, but I will also continue to support companies that have never openly considered selling to China. So, Urban Decay I accept your apology and we can continue the beautiful relationship we use to have.

$20 from Sephora.com
When I bought Bare Minerals Grand Finale I thought I had found a drugstore dupe for it already. However, you can see the difference in the swatches below.
Swatches are without primer

The blues are pretty close but you can see the golden shades are off. I love both palettes and I am super happy with the Bare Minerals Shadows. I will be buying the 4 eye shadow palettes from now on I just wanted to try them out first.

I have worn the bare minerals eye shadows and they are not flaky and they last all day. As you know I am not buying anymore Urban Decay or MAC, Bare Minerals is Cruelty free and amazing!

Let me know which palette I should pick up next!
