Redken Extreme Strength Builder
April Bath and Shower Hair Spray from Dollar Tree
L'Oreal Total Repair Conditioner
Proactiv Steps 1 and 2
Psssst Dry Shampoo

Mini Reviews and Will I repurchase?

Redken Extreme Strength Builder I enjoyed but All Soft worked miracles for my hair and this was just okay.

April Bath and Shower Hair Spray, is a repurchase for me it works great. It doesn't make my hair stiff it has a decent scent and it holds.I am not a big hairspray person, but when I need it this works great.

L'oreal Total Repair Conditioner worked great for me, but its not a Holy Grail item and I have a lot of conditioners to go through so for now I won't repurchase it.

Pro Activ worked great for me when I had cystic acne. I used it up but I have had it for over a year and it's suppose to last only a few months. It made my skin very dry but it worked for my cystic acne not my zits. However, over the years I have used it any time my skin gets bad and it always works. I won't repurchase right away but I know eventually I will go back to it.

Psssst Dry Shampoo is a great dry shampoo and Ulta always has it buy 1 get 1 free. I will repurchase when I  run out of all my others. It works great for my blonde hair and doesn't stink so that's all I look for hehe

I am officially stating that I am on a No Buy from this day until my birthday June 7th (so be sure to send me lots of makeup hehe) I did a post last week about shopping my stash, cutting back and using more of what I have. Since that post just last week I bought a new Lorac Palette,5 new polishes, 2 concealers, a leave in conditioner,2 deeps conditioners and a hair masque. IN A WEEK so I just need to stop buying until I use more stuff up. So here goes nothing hehe, I will do another empties post when I get more than 1 item.

I will be living vicariously through all of my fellow beauty lovers, but please don't make me want anything limited edition hehe. I am taking a 3 day trip to Hot Lanta , ATL (Atlanta, GA) for my birthday and there are  just too many stores to not shop until I drop. So I will save my money, and lose my mind in a month !

So tell me have you ever done a No Buy? Did you last the full time?

There are no real rules for my no buy except just what it says, NO BUY! Unless I am in desperate need for something but hot pink lipgloss I can live without for a month and only a month :)

Aloe There, I Mist You and Honey Face Facts

Gradual Face Tanner

The Facial Tanner swatch

Honey, face the facts is a gradual tanner for your face. Yes, it contains honey, and I as a vegan used it on my face. Even though I can assure you I did not eat it, I am awaiting the arrival of the vegan police but so far so good. I have always been hesitant to use fake tanner on my face because I am afraid of how it will turn out. I am fearful that I will go out in public and have a zebra striped face with an orange hue. That was definitely not the case with this, it is very gradual and subtle. It gave me a slight tan without making me appear orange. I also did not have to worry about it settle in my pores or cause me to break out. Those are 2 biggies when it comes to putting something on my face.

Aloe There has been great using after the shower, and after sitting out and enjoying the Spring weather. I am a huge fan of aloe anyways, and this is just a great product if you like Aloe.
I Mist You is a great after shower body mist, it's refreshing and moisturizing. It has a nice scent and I have used almost the entire bottle since I started using it.

I was lucky enough to be sent this stuff for review. If you are interested in picking any of these please check out their website!

3 Piece Skin care system for Stressed Skin from Skyn Iceland

The Glacial Face Wash 5oz for $30

Icelandic Relief Eye Cream .49oz for $45

Pure Cloud Cream $65 for 1.7oz

As you may know from reading my previous blogs I love Skyn Iceland. Sometimes when you try a lot of products you aren't impressed with things unless they stand out for some reason. This trio really stood out to me, and I love them. Let's start from the beginning!

The Glacial Face Wash is nice and creamy, it gives a good cleanse to my skin without making it dry. It also doesn't break me out, and leaves me feeling refreshed. The Icelandic Eye Relief cream is amazing, for my tired eyes. I use this along side the eye pads for puffiness, it helps my makeup go on. It helps take down any puffiness or dryness.

Then there is the Pure Cloud Cream, which is great for my crazy skin. I have oily combo skin, and for some reason it decided to be dry in certain areas. This helps moisturize my skin without adding to my oil. It doesn't break me out, has a pleasant scent and moisturizes like a thick cream but it's nice and light.

If something works, and I don't have to worry about it breaking me out I don't care how much it costs. This trio has worked wonders for me and I highly suggest that you try this out! Especially if you are a girl that suffers from puffy eyes like myself, the eye cream is just what the Dr. ordered!

I am so happy to have been able to review these products, and when I run out I will be buying more. I have spent an hour on their website looking at all the other amazing things I want to try! What have you used from Skyn Iceland? Plus they are cruelty free, and vegan so shop without guilt or concern.

Bold Blush Duo in Coral and Peach $2.99

This blush blew me away with its pigmentation, and they were the exact color I was hoping they would be. Sometimes when you get stuff from the internet it's hard to know the actual color. I wanted an orange/coral/peach shade of blush. I love NYX cinnamon, the new Maybelline mineralize Coral blush and Nars Exhibit A even though its red I love the fun blushes. This is a must buy, if you are placing an order!

Lip and Cheek Stain in Coral $1.99

Look how cute this is, first I didn't want to use it because it's so stinking cute. However, once again I was surprised by the staying power and the color payoff. I used this under my blush (picture above), and it stayed on all day without fading. I got a lot of compliments about how I had a nice glow to me.I kept getting asked if I had done something different. I think it gives you that nice peachy, healthy glow to your cheeks. There are 3 others of these sticks and I want to pick those up!

Baked Eye Shadow Pod  in Iris $1.99

Comes in 18 different colors!

This is dry without a primer can you imagine the pigmention wetting the brush first. I am seriously in love with this shadow and would love to get all 18 and for $2 each I could easily do that. I have worn this shadow dry, over my primer and it stays all day no creasing and you can build it to be a great smokey eye.

Once upon a time a long long time ago, in the 1980's was a little girl who use to carry a caboodle's full of Cover girl makeup and a Sassy magazine.

Anyone remember these babies?

However, over the years my love of makeup went from a lover to a collector with a tinge of obsessive collecting. I've never been one to waste anything, I got out of my way to recycle and to not use products that will end up in a landfill. However, having makeup that is pretty but is not going to get used is wasteful and I don't like having it take up space to just be pretty, there's only room for me to do that :)
One of many boxes of makeup that has no home

So the point of my blog is to say that I am going to TRY and not buy anything until I use up products. I am going to shop my stash, and stop buying something to only forget about it, because I bought something else the next week or next day and never use those items. I have been considering this for awhile but something happened that made me realize how ungrateful or whatever you want to call it I am.

My hubby went out of town for a few days and was getting out luggage. He opened up the luggage and said are you missing a makeup bag? No, I haven't used that bag in over a year I said oh so confident. Well he handed me the makeup bag and it was full of MAC makeup. I am not saying 1 or 2 items, but 6 MAC face and eye products and 2 lippies. That I have not missed or looked for or even crossed my mind in over a year. The bad thing about that is I remember when I first started buying MAC how I held onto it like it was Gold. Now, apparently I buy so much junk that I am not appreciating all that I have.

It's hard as a makeup artist to not want to try out new products for clients. It would be different if buying all this was actually for clients. My kit is actually pretty modest and I know what works and what they like. I have 75 nail polishes and I paint my nails the same 5 colors. I have 8 unused conditioners,12 shampoos,5 dry shampoos and TONS of face, body, hair, teeth, lip, products that are just sitting there in my beauty closet. Most are sadly unused or used once and replaced by the next shiny object.

So I am not going on a No Buy because I am who I am, and I will buy stuff. However, I am decided on what to do whether to sell it, donate it, or do a giveaway with the unused still in the packaged makeup. I am however going to do my best to have an empties post next month. I want to find that joy in makeup again.

It's easy for me to blame you tube and blogs for my obsession. I know there are a lot of people with more and are completely happy with that. I want to declutter, and use what I have and if I don't use it I need to get rid of it. This will be ongoing, I am trying to decide how to share my updates with you. I am actually embarrassed to show you, but maybe that's what I need to do, shame myself into it :)

Matte Eye Shadow Quad in Neon's -$2.99

Top-No Primer // Bottom- City Color Eye shadow Primer

All Occasion Eye Shadow Palette in Collection 4 -$4.99

That purple has great color payoff!

These are all swatches without primer, and I am just amazed at the great color payoff!

The black and white were a little chalky but if you use a primer that has a little stick, just pat it onto your lid with a brush and it will stick right to it.

I was once again lucky enough to receive these products to review. I was also lucky enough to receive some items for a give away which will be up Next week so be sure to check back!

These are great palettes, I love the matte bright shadows and have had a lot of fun playing with them. I used Milk by NYX as a base and the colors popped even brighter than the swatches above. I love color and I don't care if I look like an 80's sitcom, I will wear blue shadow all day long. You can easily blend these shadow into a nice light spring look, or layer it on for a fun bright neon eye!

The second palette is amazing! I cannot believe the color payoff from this palette for $5 If you are looking for a new palette to add to your collection but not break your bank, pick this up.

So you tell me, what do you think?

4.7oz for $29.90 this is Paraben Free and Cruelty Free

After only 2 pumps of self tanner on the right leg

2 Pumps of tanner on the glove

I was lucky to receive this item for review, and I was skeptical because I have had some serious self tanner issues. So, I followed the instruction using 2 pumps for my leg, and wiped it on. I love that it goes on the shade so you can see where you miss. It does slowly get a little darker so it's good that I applied it then waited. If you have the time I suggest waiting a few hours because it does slowly get darker even after only 2 pumps.

This is a self tanner that I can recommend to clients, and would suggest they start using the week leading up to their big day. It has a nice healthy glow to it, and no orange hue in sight. I also love that there is no weird chemical scent to this, and I think this will work for everyone. There was no gathering on my ankle or knee's so that is always a plus.

If you have any specific questions please feel free to ask. Let me know what you think about this if you have tried it!

Now if you are new to my blog you may not know this, but most of my loyal followers know that I am a southern belle. I also have a deep love for all things Dolly Parton, and I wanted to share some of my favorite quotes and pictures of her. I know she is not your reality star fashionista but she is true to who she is and I love that. This may tell you a little bit more about me and my personality :)

This Luscious Grapefruit Acne Scrub and tribal print headband/scarf  were each $1

I have used a few different Grapefruit scrubs and this one works just as good. It doesn't have a fragrance to it, and the scrub itself is gentle and not harsh on my skin.

These are the only 2 things I picked up at the Dollar Tree but I thought I would share them!

Have you found anything fun and exciting at Dollar Tree lately?

8 pairs of eye gels-de puffs in 10 minutes
They come in individual little packets so you can take them with you!

$30 for 8 pairs

I was lucky enough to receive these eye gels from Skyn Iceland to review. I keep odd hours, and sometimes I stay up late and get a call that I am needed early in the am. So I do not want to be that makeup artist with puffy eyes. Especially when people are depending on you to make them look good, you don't want to look a hot mess.

I must say that these little gel pads work, I mean I get up and put these things on my face. I make coffee, get breakfast going or a bagel tossed into a toaster and then it's time to take them off. My eyes are not puffy,it's easier to get makeup on because they are not swollen. If you suffer from puffy eyes often or just need these when you travel.

At first I thought whoa $30 for 8 pairs of these is a little pricey. However, they work and are worth it. Nothing that I have tried works as well, now if I had the time cutting a cucumber and laying around with them on my eyes would work too. However, like someone once said "Ain't nobody got time for that"

Have you tried these? What works for your puffy eyes?

Love the Pump

Nice thin consistency,but not runny.

Can you see the glow it gives you?

I have seen this foundation all over You Tube and blogs and it has gotten nothing but great reviews. I watched one review after the next with different applications, and mixing it with several different foundations. I thought, what have I been waiting for? I tried it with both a beauty blender and a flat top foundation brush both gave amazing results.

The Good:
The Price $10-$13 at the drugstore
(I got it at Ulta during their BOGO 50% off and a $4 coupon for L'oreal and an Ulta Coupon)
It does exactly what it says, you do get a nice glow without looking like a ghost.
The coverage is very light so this is perfect for you if you want that fresh glow without a lot of coverage.
However, I mixed it with a full coverage foundation and the finish was perfection.
I loved this foundation... but

The Bad:
It broke me out and I mean hardcore, I gave it a week and tried it on its own without anything else. I was out and about and checked myself in the mirror. New zits that were not there when I left the house, and cystic acne. I am heart broken because this is a beautiful foundation, but it really did not work with my skin.

Would I recommend it? Yes, I have complicated skin, Revlon Color stay gives me cystic acne too. However, L'oreal True Match does not. I am back to using Bare Minerals which is old faithful for me.

Have you tried this? What was your experience? What foundation should I try next?

The lovely Krystal from Beauty By Krystal and Beauty Blogger Headquarters sent out an email to let us know that our topic for April was Inspiration. So without further ado here is what Inspires me!

1.What Inspires Me to Blog?
My love of makeup, fashion, finding a great drugstore product that dupes high end. Being a makeup artist and wanting to share products that I am loving and using in my kit. I also think growing up I was the opposite of girlie until my sister let me open her purple glittery caboodles full of makeup. I have been hooked on makeup and all things beauty ever since!

2.What Blogs Do I Read for Inspiration?
I love going to so many different blogs but just to name a few are
Miranda's Makeup and More- I love this girl she always buys the best stuff, she is an animal lover and we have become great friends since I started blogging!

Be Flossy-She has been blogging before it was the cool thing to do. I love to see her hauls and reviews of pretty much all makeup you can imagine! Go give her some love!

Crystal Candy Makeup- This girl has amazing hauls, and she is just beautiful, her makeup looks always inspire me to try new things!

3.What You tube Channels Inspire Me?
Pixiwoo-These 2 girls are amazingly talented makeup artist! I love watching every video they post.
NicoleGuerriero19-She is gorgeous and I just love her personality
GossMakeupArtist-You will learn more from him than any school you will ever attend for makeup!

4.Where else do I find inspiration?
Pinterest of course! Magazines from beauty magazines to home decor I love patterns and color.

5.How do I describe my style of blogging? How has it changed?
I think in the beginning my blogging style was much more safe. Now I try to branch out and talk about more things than just beauty. I also try to give tips and advice from a makeup artist and not just be a shopper blogger.

6.How do I handle competition from other bloggers?
I am just myself, and talk about what I know. It's just like anything else you can't keep up with everyone else. There will be someone who buys every new collection, travels more, shops more, and their life is much better than yours. I just try to give advice, share my tips and tricks as a makeup artist. I also love to shop and share my deals or a holy grail product. You can't go into blogging trying to be like everyone else, you will find your niche!

7.Photos that inspire me!
From Pinterest be sure to follow me and my beauty boards!

A natural 3 step system to help cure your acne! Natural and Cruelty Free

Step 1 Foam Face Wash

Step 2 Balancing Lotion
Step 3 Is a Roll On Spot Treatment

I received this from the new Ifabbo Shop and boy am I glad that I did. I have recently been trying out new foundations and finding out very quickly which ones break me out. So when this came in the mail my skin was not in its best condition. I used this the first night I got it and must say I did see a difference after a few nights of use. If you suffer from zits or if you have breakouts that are from a new foundation this will help.

I however, did not notice a difference in my acne and cystic acne but that is something that will not just go away after a few uses. If you just have occasional breakouts, then I think you will truly enjoy this product. I do not have all the little bumps that show up on occasion either.

Relogy is offering a great deal on their product $49.95 for 60 day supply plus free shipping!
