Best of Butter London

Best of Butter London

So I am sure many of you already have seen or heard about the amazing Bloody Brilliant Lip Crayons. I wanted to share with you those plus a few of my other favorite Butter London products (excluding polishes I have another post for that).

I was very hesitant to try out a cream shadow, I either love or hate them because of my oily lids. I am obviously in love with these from Butter London (I received several shades) because I had to include them in this post. First they go on smooth, very pigmented and dry fairly quick but with enough time to work them onto the lid. I have been known to wear these on their own, without creasing or fading. I also wear them as a base, and will try them with the new Butter London shadows very soon! Check out the range of colors, there is something for everyone, this one was more of a user friendly color so I chose to share it with you!

The Moisture Matte Lipsticks are unlike any other matte lipstick I have tried before. Because they are very matte, but as you can see in the picture they have a nice moisturizing effect to them. They are so creamy and smooth but set to a nice matte. My lips, no matter how much I moisturize I always feel like they are too dry for full on matte lipsticks. Not the case with these, they are beautiful and everything you could want in a lipstick and/or matte lipstick.

The Bloody Brilliant Lip Crayons are great, so far I have been using the Primrose Hill Picnic more than any of the others. I didn't take a picture of it before I began to wear it down, so I again chose some of the more natural shades for the post. They are long lasting, moisturizing and I think there are enough colors to suit everyone.

You may not be drawn to the shades I have chosen, but it is the product itself I am talking about. These are the stand out products from Butter London (excluding polishes and nail products). Have you tried these? What are your favorites? Do you agree or disagree?

Poole,Marbs and Torch with 2 coats

If you have ever tried Butter London polishes you know there is not much to say, they speak for themselves. They have amazing color payoff, great lasting power, and although they are a little pricey you get a quality product. I also love being able to pick polishes up to try out in a set. You get a better price, plus a few different shades to try out.

I have had these shades for a few months now, and I find myself being addicted to each shade. I have been wearing Marbs as an accent nail with Torch on the other nails. I have also worn Poole on all my nails with Torch as an accent.

I do use two coats when applying this polish which is no big deal. I don't have to use a top coat or a base color. I usually do apply a top coat just because it is what I usually do. Without the top coat it still lasts for days before I notice the first sign of wear. I don't have any issues with these polishes chipping on me either. It is a more natural wearing away of the product, instead of a chipping away.

Have you ever tried Butter London polishes? What is your favorite shade?

Butter London Wink Colour Mascara $20 at Ulta or Butterlondon.com
The three shades I got were Indigo Punk, Pistol Pink and Jaded Jack

These mascaras are great, they are the exact color when you put them on. I love a bright eye, and these were right up my alley. They show up great without any lash primer, and they go great with the Butter London Eyeliners I posted about last week.

However, I have been using them with a lash primer and WOW are they pigmented. They are just too much fun.  These would be great to put in your eyebrows, especially if you are rocking some lavender or pink hair!

This is a little dry, but it works great for me and I did not notice any flaking. Even after I applied multiple layers just to get the VaVa Voom lashes hehe.

These are a must have if you are looking for some bright mascara's for the Spring and Summer!

Have you tried these out yet?

So technically today is the first day of Spring, but since we have snow in our immediate forecast, I still have Spring Fever. I am ready for the beautiful flowers to start popping up everywhere.

Butter London Wink Eyeliner $18 each check out Ulta and Ulta.com  for more shades.

The 3 shades I got to try out!

I was super excited to be able to try these bright eyeliners out, they are right up my alley. The pistol pink is actually a lot more hot pink in person, unfortunately I could not get it to photograph that way. I love hot pink on the eyes, so this was a lot of fun to play with. I think these worked better for me than the Makeup Forever Aqua liners. You have to work quick, and blend in after applying they dry fast.

I have oily lids, so these worked perfectly for me as a liner I also used Indigo Punk as a shadow base and it never creased. If you are looking for something for long lasting staying power, pick these up. They offer lots of other shades including brown and black, so don't be scared by these bright colors. When I wore Jaded Jack I bet I got 10 compliments on how beautiful it looked with my eyeshadow. These are not for you if you don't want attention because you will get it :)

Lippy Tinted Balm in Teddy Boy $20

I just want to say that I had no idea what to expect from Butter London in the Makeup Department. I love their polishes and can't get enough of those.  So when I tried out this lipstick I have to be honest, it was instant love! The scent of the product is very subtle but sweet, it glides on like a dream. You get just the perfect shade of rose every time.

I know that this would be the perfect shade of lipstick for my bridal clients as well. It's a nice shade that will compliment almost anyone. It has great staying power, and doesn't bleed or get onto your teeth. If you are looking to try out a new lip product do not hesitate try out Butter London's Lippy products. They are so worth the $20, you won't regret it!
