MAC Cosmetics Nutcracker Sweet Plum Eye Kit
MAC Cosmetics Nutcracker Sweet Plum Eye Kit -$42.50 Online here!
  • Full-size Extra Dimension Eyeshadow in Smoky Mauve
  • Full-size Technakohl Eyeliner in Purple Dash
  • Full-size Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Stormy Pink

MAC Cosmetics Nutcracker Sweet Plum Eye Kit
These colors are beautiful on their own, but paired together they create a deeper smoky plum shade. I am a big fan of Paint Pots from MAC already, I use them in my pro kit for bridal work. I know they are $22 on their own so to get 1 included in this set was exciting for me.

Don't worry this post is just to share how beautiful these products are, I will be doing a full face tutorial very soon. I have seen these online but it wasn't until I went in store that I knew this had to be mine. I also told my husband that he could buy all the other sets for me anytime he wanted too (subtle hints). This eyeliner has blown me away with how beautiful it is. MAC doesn't skimp on quality for their Holiday sets, so you can buy this and know it's the same amazing quality you know and love.

Get Ready with Me-Blue Smokey Eye

These are all the beautiful products I used to get ready to go out for my friends birthday party. I never need an excuse to wear a glittery sparkly eye, but it's nice to have one.

1.I primed my t-zone with Benefit Porefessional, and primed my eyes with Urban Decay Primer Potion Original. I then sprayed my entire face with the Skindinavian Setting Spray with Oil Control.

2.I then took the UD Smoked palette with the shade Evidence(is sold individually also).I placed it all over my lid into the crease, and blended. I used a pencil brush with blackout and focused it in the crease. I also took blackout, on the lower lash, and topped it off with more of Evidence.

3.I used lash glue to apply the MAC GOLD Glitter. I let the lash glue get tacky, and then placed the glitter on my lid. Using a flat shadow brush to pat it gently onto the lid.

4.I took my Covergirl 3-1 foundation on my beauty blender to be sure to get the most coverage where I need it. Followed up by the Nars Creamy concealer under my eyes and on all areas to highlight.I then took Too Faced Primed and Poreless powder on my t-zone and used the beauty blender to set it around my nose and under my eyes lightly.

5. I used Too Faced Matte bronzer to contour lightly, add a little color to the skin. Too Faced sweetheart blush in Peach Beach on the cheeks. I then topped off with my new Anastasia Beverly Hills Riviera illuminator.

6. Lastly I used the L'oreal Voluminous Original Mascara,NYC black liner to line the eyes and  the amazing Smashbox Brow Tech Gloss Stick in Brunette. Using my favorite affordable lip gloss from La Colors in Blushing Pink ($1). Finishing off the look with the Skindinavian Oil Control Spray all over the face.

Get Ready with Me-Blue Smokey Eye

This is the final result, I applied around 4pm and it was still going strong around 2am when I got home. I was sad to wash it off, because nothing moved and the glitter stayed put. I did reapply my lip gloss a few times but that is to be expected. I also eventually added Snob by Mac on my lips because it is one of my favorite lipsticks.

I hope you enjoyed this post, if you are following me on social media you already saw this look. I got such great feedback, not only from my fellow bloggers but complete strangers. You always know your makeup is good when women you don't know stop you and ask you about it. That my friends is girl power :)

I had noticed I was in love with my Dangerous Palette, and couldn't figure out why. Until I realized it's almost the exact palette as my smoked palette by Urban Decay. I am a sucker for all things Urban Decay, especially shadows.

Well, I usually don't post monthly favorites because as a makeup artist and beauty lover I use so many products it would take forever to tell you about them. Plus I offer a lot of reviews on amazing products and to include those again in the monthly favorites to me would be pointless.  If I take the time to review something for my blog then I obviously like it, or you will know why it didn't work for me. These are just my current most reached for items, and it will change again in a week.

You can tell that I adore my Lorac Performance foundation because it is almost entirely gone. I have lots of foundations in my collection that aren't even half gone because I gave up on them. On days that I am not going out anywhere I just mix the Urban Decay Beauty Balm with 1 pump of my Lorac foundation and it works perfect. On days that I am broken out more than usual, I use the Miracle Skin Concealer it is AMAZING!

The clean and clear gel is a new to me product, it works great on my oily/combo skin. I didn't want to commit to $7 if it was worthless but I bought 2 little ones on a whim and have really enjoyed it. But, beware that it has a fragrance to it that is quiet nice, but it may cause your skin to break out more. I haven't had any issues from it but it is very fragrant. I love anything and everything from Too Faced including their bronzers, but especially their Primed and Poreless. If you have oily skin, and you have large pores you must buy this. Right now on Sephora they have a jumbo travel size with a mini kabuki for $15, go buy it. I use it with a kabuki all over my nose and forehead, and you know what, bye bye pores! I have bought the mini for my kit because I know clients will love it too!

Eye shadows are my weakness, it is my thing I usually buy over any other beauty product. So it is not surprising that I own the dangerous palette and the smoked palette not knowing they were pretty much dupes. I love them both and honestly use them both even if they are the same hehe. I have been using Mac's Hot Contrast shadow since I am feeling Fall is near (when it's still 90 in the day I can't believe it's fall). I put a light layer of the black in my crease with the red all over my lid. It has so many nice shades and hues of red it makes the perfect shadow for blue eyes and green eyes.
Even though everyone is busting out their Fall blushes I am still using Coralista it is a favorite of mine. I use it a lot more than I don't and it has a nice finish I usually don't even reach for a highlighter.

Whoa, that is a lot of writing but I wanted to explain to you why I like these items. I hope you enjoy this post. If you follow me on Instagram you know I am considering starting making You Tube videos, so if you would like to see a certain type of video let me know!

Thanks for stopping by let me know what you are currently loving!
