I hope you find yourself appreciating everything that you have, and everyone that you have in your life!

As a beauty blogger, makeup artist and just an addict to all things beauty it is easy for me to always be looking for the next best thing. I want to make 2013 about not only appreciating all the amazing things that I have, but using them too! Not letting things go to waste, donating not only my time but also anything that I know will not be used. Being appreciative of all my visitors, new and old !

Spend time with the ones you love, and be grateful for another moment together.

I am sorry for the lack of posts and the very quick posts that I have been making recently. I have had family in for a week, and they will be in town for a few more days. So I am practicing what I preach and spending quality time with them. I will be back with full posts, reviews, swatches, and lots of fun stories to share .I usually make a list of things to do in the new year. However, this year I want to just go out and do things instead of sticking to a list. Don't worry I will be sharing all my adventures with you.

I hope you have a happy and safe New Year, and may 2013 bring you all the happiness and lip gloss your heart desires ♥
-Heather

Cranberries are much more than this...
image via pinterest

You can find so many amazing variations of cranberry shadows. I have several and these have been my go to lately.

Garnet,Pomegranate Punch,Soiree,Cranberry
Lorac, Maybelline Color Tattoo,ELF lustrous shadow,MAC

MAC $15,ELF $3,Maybelline Color Tattoo $6

Lorac Pro Palette Garnet

ELF Lustrous Eye shadow in Soiree $3

I have been using the Maybelline color tattoo for my base and then variations of the other shadows. Sometimes I do Mac's Cranberry all over, and Elf Soiree on the inner portion of the eye. It has shimmer to it so it gives a nice brightening effect to your eye. It appears much more pink in the photo than it actually is. I am loving the staying power of my ELF Lustrous eye shadows that I picked up recently they are pretty amazing.

Everyone and their Mom knows about MAC cranberry and just how truly beautiful it is. I have also been loving the color tattoo in pomegranate punch as a base. I have tried a few and was just impressed and thought I have a coupon they are buy 1 get 1 half off at Ulta. So I tried again and I kinda get the hype but I will do a review on the ones that I am not a fan of so you can skip those.

So you tell me, am I missing any other must have cranberry shadows or a shade variation of cranberry?

I always love to hear back from you!

$5.75 on PrestigeCosmetics.com

Shade is in Envy

This eyeliner is a long wearing liner, and has great color payoff. For the drugstore price you just don't expect for it to still be there when you go to wash off your makeup. You can pick this up from Walmart.com,Rite Aid, Prestige Cosmetics.com or anywhere you can buy Prestige Cosmetics. They offer a variety of shades online, but this green is fun to play with for fall eye looks.

*This product contains carmine, as a vegan I am trying eliminate any products that contain carmine. This was given to a friend and she gave me feedback immediately via email after she wore it.

$9.95 originally $15  also you can get it at Rite Aid

7 shimmers, 1 matte (Taupe Notch) & 1 glitter Shopping Spree

all swatches are without a base

When I first got this palette I was being a skeptic because it looked like a Too Faced palette but in a drugstore. Plus for the price I thought, how pigmented could they really be?

I was quick to change my mind with the first time of wearing them. They were pigmented and with a base they are even more amazing. They have great color payoff, a nice variety of colors for different looks. Very reminiscent of Too Faced palettes that cost $36. I highly suggest if you are on a budget and want a great new palette, pick this up!

Don't waste any time this would be a nice stocking stuffer or present for someone too!

Beyonce's makeup artist Wei Lang stated that Beyonce loves Velour lashes in "Are Those Real" and that she buys them by the ton. They are 100 percent real Mink lashes, however, the company states that they brush the hairs from a live animal and then sterilize them. No animals are harmed for these mink lashes!
Other than lashes and liner her makeup artist states that she keeps it simple. Just a little contour, and shimmery shadow.
You can find these $60 a pair lashes here, and they are currently on sale for $30!

$38 for 1 ounce

I visit Sephora a lot and there are 2 that are near me so I switch between them. I visited one Sephora and they gave me 2 travel sized samples of this foundation in 2 shades. At this Sephora they told me I was a 2.0 and 3.0 and I bought my other goodies and was on my way. A week or so later I visited my other Sephora and they also gave me 2 travel sized samples in fancy little bottles. This Sephora gave me shades 1 and 2.

So after nearly 2 months trying to mix and match these shades, trying to find my shade I just cannot seem to do it. I am assuming first if you have pretty good skin to start with this foundation will be great for you. I have pigmentation issues, acne scars, and combination skin. Here is why the foundation did not work for me.

After only a few hours I noticed that it had started to disapear around my nose, and chin. It states that it gives a matte finish with a glow however I felt greasy not glowing. After six hours it had completely disapeared off my chin, nose and forehead. It was settling into my under eye area, and I just wanted to go home and wash my face.I also thought it was a runny consistency, and just did not like the feel of the product all together. If it was in the pump bottle I would mindful not to waste it, with it being so runny.

I used the same moisturizer and primer that I do with every other foundation so they were not the issue. However, like I stated if you have good skin, and just want something to help give you a "doll" appearance I am sure this will work for you. I will be on the search for my Holy Grail foundation because I am always onto the next big thing :)

Tell me have you tried this? Do you have a suggestion for me trying to apply it a different way?

Jean-Michelle Lip Color Collection Palette $15.00

Swatches of the 4 shades great pigmentation alone, or mixed together!

Jean Michelle Lip Liner Duo in Cool 1 and Warm

As a makeup artist this lipstick palette is great, you have 4 great natural shades to mix to come up with a great shade for your client. Then the lip liner in Cool and Warm so it always suits someone. I also love that the lipstick quad came with a built in hard plastic cover. It helps keep the colors from fading into one another, and keep germs out.  For anyone looking to build their kit at an affordable price, I suggest you check out some of the great brands and products they have to offer.

Sorry for my lack of posts lately! I have been working a lot and when I am not working painting faces, I am spending time getting ready for Christmas! I have been fighting off a head cold for the past week. I am trying every natural method known to man to beat this thing. So, when I was resting instead of taking pictures of products or doing blog post I watched hours of You Tube and Netflix streaming.

I want to say thank you to everyone who continues to visit, email and all the amazing companies that are reaching out to me. I wish blogging was my full time job, but I am grateful that all of you still visit even when I go days without a new post. I promise next week there will be new reviews, and just some fun day in the life photos accumulated over months heh.

I promise that no store has been left untouched with my holiday preparation and will have lots of my own selfish hauling to do post about. I go into the mall for everyone on my list and find stuff for myself, that's just life I guess :)

Thanks again for all the love!
