Getting Rid of Unwanted Hair Color

On my You Tube Channel I did a post on how I got rid of the faded out Blue/Green/Pink hair . I recently wanted to get rid of the faded out blue green because it was washing out fast and leaving me looking a little rough around the edges. It was fun and looked beautiful for a few weeks but every time I washed my hair it was green instead of blue and blonde in parts it was just a mess.

I went to Google, and YouTube trying to find answers that would help me get to a natural hair color and well that didn't happen. People give terrible advice PLEASE use caution when taking advice from people on the internet (EVEN ME hehe). They were telling you to bleach it out, keep bleaching it will eventually come out. Others were telling me to do what the ladies at my Sally told me to which was find the darkest hair dye and go with that. They were only giving me two really bad options.I have bleach my hair a lot in my life, but these 2 options were no good for me! Boy, am I glad I just went with my own instinct and did not listen. My hair turned into a nice shade of dark blonde/light brown and is an easy base to dye over. Here is my journey and watch the video if you need some details!

Manic Panic hair dye freshly dyed!
These are all good pictures before it faded when I was in love with it!

After the L'oreal color remover for 20 minutes

After I used the Loreal Color Remover and my hair is wet!
It was blonde/red and green hehe
The shade I ended up with after the hair dye! A pretty normal shade, and so easy to take lighter or darker! I was impressed!

I paid for these items myself, not a sponsored post!

  1. Every few months, my colorist at Vidal Sassoon uses a Malibu to get rid of the color buildup especially in my roots. She uses the same thing but leaves it on longer & under the heat, if we're altering the shade of red I'm going with. The Malibu must be the same thing as the L'Oreal Color Remover. It turns my hair yellow, but the new color looks so fresh afterward. Your new hair color looks rich and gorgeous!
