Messy hair and nice makeup
2.Would you rather shave your eyebrows or have your eyelashes fall out?
eyelashes fall out, I can wear false lashes all day
3.Would you rather be forced to shop at only MAC or Sephora for the rest of your life?
Probably Sephora because it has a lot more items to buy heheh
4.Would you rather wear lipgloss/lipliner look or 80's perm?
Lipgloss/Lipliner look...I did the 80's perm already ehhe
5.Would you rather leave the house with an obvious foundation line or overdone blush?
overdone blush, cannot do the foundation line eeeek :)
6.Would you rather wear MC Hammer pants or biker shorts in public?
Aren't MC Hammer pants pretty much Harem pants? I can rock that
7.Would you rather have a bad orange-y spray tan or really weird tan lines that can't be covered?
really weird tan lines that can't be covered
8.Would you rather have a bad haircut or bad hair color?
haircut I can work magic with some bobbypins but you can't hide weird hair color heh

Twitter for sure
10. Would you rather give up using makeup brushes or mascara?
I love me some makeup brushes and mascara but I will just wear my false lashes and forgo the mascara.

Tag 10 Beauty/Fashion Rules that I break:
(for myself, obviously not things I suggest to you or clients ehhe)

1.Sometimes I just use makeup wipes to get off my makeup(no cleansers)
2.I don't throw away my makeup by expiration dates, I do it based upon when it's obviously done with.
3.I wear "night or evening" makeup during the day
4.I don't always use an eye cream just a few times a week
5.I pick at my skin even when I KNOW better
6. I leave on my teeth whitening cream WAY longer than suggested
7.I dye my roots every 4-5 weeks I can't do it every 3
8.I don't tweeze my eyebrows, I use a razor and touch up daily
9.I don't get my hair trimmed ever 6-8 weeks it's almost never or I do it myself
10.I think its always appropriate to wear glitter or sparkles, it's just who I am

I TAG ALL OF YOU,If your a blogger and reading this! If you aren't a blogger comment below and tell me your TAG answers especially what beauty rules you break!

Palette was $28.00 at Sephora

Pro's-
1. Great Price for 6 Shadows
2.Amazing Color Payoff
3.Nice Variety of shades
4.Nancy Rocks is a gorgeous Purple
5.Cute Packaging
6.Bag it comes in and Free Devil Keychain

Con's
1.Glitter Pieces
2.Fallout Galore
3.I am considering returning the product because every time I have tried to use it the glitter fallout irritates my eyes. I have tried different bases, different application techniques and no good. The little bit of fallout that I got with the glitter shadow made my eyes burn and itch. Never had that happen before with any glitter shadows or products. So for me this is a big con.

Do you have this palette? Did you enjoy it or did you have the same problem I did?

1.Cargo Contour Palette in Monaco $34.00
2.Too Faced Matte Eye Palette $36.00
3. Purity Made Simple Face Wipes 45ct(x2) $10.00

I have swatched these items and really enjoy both of the palettes. I purchased the Purity Wipes for myself and a separate pack for my kit for clients to use if they come in full face makeup. When I use these items I will let you know my full review!

Do you have these? What is your opinion? I think the Cargo palette will be just what I was wanting for my kit. I can have everything contained in one, do you know of any other sets like this that are a must have?

Bold Brows
Spider Lashes
Sideburns for women?
Clear Skin and Clean Makeup

Metallic Eyeshadows

Bright Lips
Ponytails of all kinds

The top 3 photos are from style.com and the following photos are all from harpersbazaar.com

Which of these trends will you be following? Nothing too crazy for the fall, I will skip out on the sideburns look personally but everything else is stuff I already do.

Beauty of Color by IMAN

asianbeautybook.com

http://lindamason.com/

These are 3 of my favorite books, and 3 books that I find that inspire me and inform me the most. If you are an aspiring makeup artist I personally feel these are a must have.

1. The Beauty of Color by Iman    Amazon.com for $17.00
Why I suggest it?
It starts with idenitfying your skin type and different skin types. Then it breaks down the Essential items that you REALLY need. It breaks down the skin types and skin issues to help find the perfect foundation. It is helpful because it covers a fair females from Brazil to Nigeria with different undertones.I also love that the looks are not just a basic smokey eye, she takes risks. I really feel like you should go out and get this book and really sit down and read it all the way through. You can go back and look at the beautiful pictures later.

2.Asian Beauty by Margaret Kimura on Amazon.com $14.00
Why I suggest it?
Another amazing book that breaks down the essential items you need.  She tells you why you need the makeup brushes and how to use them correctly. She starts off telling you about her journey becoming a makeup artist which in itself is an amazing story. She breaks down Asian Faces and how to contour and shade. She tells you the main differences you will work with, and how to shadow and what colors are best. She helps you with color matching and looks to avoid. I really enjoyed sitting down and reading this book. I have had it quiet sometime and I go back to it for references often.

3. Makeup The Art of Beauty by Linda Mason on lindamason.com for $14.95
Why I suggest it?
This is not the first time I have mentioned this book or Linda Mason on my blog. This book is amazing, just reading her journey and you can feel her passion for makeup and art. She talks about her journey with working in the industry, getting jobs, how to market yourself, how you can break in to the industry. My absolute favorite chapter and I suggest you all get this book for this chapter alone How to do Twentieth Century Look she breaks down looks starting in the 20's going on to the 90's. There are face charts and detailed information on how she got each look. She is very Avant-Garde and her chapter on Freestyling where she uses faces as her canvas and recreates Picasso paintings.
She even gives tips on your portfolio, getting jobs in TV, and finding your Niche. Check out her website at http://lindamason.com/ for her other beauty books, and her beautiful artwork!

These are just 3 that I recommend, do you own any of these?
What do you suggest I read?

*All books were purchases with my own money, and this is my honest opinion

This is the new collection from Makeup Forever and the eye shadow palette is $45 from Sephora.com

There are not a lot of pictures out of this palette to give you guys swatches, or a better picture. I am trying to talk myself out of it, but I do love the wide ray of colors it offers.

Will you be buying anything from the Smoky Eye Collection?

We have probably all read the interview with the author from The Help
Kathryn Stockett who's best selling book is now a movie.

She got 60 rejection letters before someone finally said okay we will publish it. It would have been easier to stop after 10 or maybe 20 "No Thank You's" but to keep on because she loved this book so much for 60 says a lot about never giving up on your dream.(time.com interview)

If you can DREAM it, you can DO it. - Walt Disney

If you don't have a dream, how can you have a dream come true? - Jiminy Cricket

It's so easy to give up on a dream because your not in an ideal situation for dreams to thrive. Maybe you live in a small town and there is nowhere for you to work to achieve your dream job. Perhaps you don't have the money to pursue all the things you want.  Maybe your friends and family don't support or understand your dreams. Trust me, just don't ever give!

I have dreams that have been laughed at, pushed aside, and I have been told flat out "Get a real job". However, with each makeup job I get I am that much closer to living that dream. I love my job and I love being able to be a makeup artist. Part of my DREAM is to own my own boutique/salon and offer beauty services. I would love for that to be in a big city somewhere, it's my dream so I dream big. I want to be a well known and respected makeup artist. However, I find that people don't accept the title makeup artist as a real job. I don't work for a salon, I don't work for anyone full time and it's hard to wrap their brains around it. I would also love to continue this blog and see where it takes me.

I have an amazing supportive husband and family who push me to challenge myself. It's not always easy to find work, or to get jobs that I really want. If you can't go out and do makeup jobs right now, read a book about your dream job. Study up on techniques, marketing yourself, about starting a small business because you are your own business. Get a website started, practice on friends, get business cards,do face charts, practice on yourself. I know that there will be days and months that go by and you won't get a job. Then it will come and you will work so much you won't remember what sleep felt like.

Always be working towards your dream even if you can't do it right now. On my down time I am reading blogs, watching you tube, reading magazines, books, and learning new trends and techniques. So no matter what your dream is no matter how big or small, never Ever let someone tell you that it's impossible. Just because they gave up on their dreams, doesn't mean you have too as well.

We are all working towards something, we may just be at different stages. Some of us may be working our dream job but have re evaluated that dream and want more. Some of us may be in high school and figuring out what that dream may be. Wherever you are reading this post tonight I hope you haven't let someone put out your light. Dream On!

Tarte Blush in Tipsy:$25.00 and Hard Candy Blush in Skinny Dipping $6.00

These are two blushes that since I bought them I have been using on a daily basis. They are great colors and even the Hard Candy with a setting spray stays on pretty good. Ignore the glitter in my swatches on my hand I  had been taking some other photos with glitter eye shadows hehe.

Do you have either of these?

Urban Decay $55 vs. ELF $4.99

Are they exact dupes,no but are they close enough if you don't have the money in your budget to get the same look?

You tell me what you think.... I can't wait to hear your opinions.

All eye shadows are swatched without primer, and only one ELF eye shadow had to be wet to get the shade a little darker.

My favorite shadow in the whole Urban Decay 15th anniversary palette is Junk Show(that beautiful pink) and the ELF palette didn't have a dupe for it.

(I am not saying ELF is just as good or equal to Urban Decay just a fun comparison for those who might be starting out)

I just saw a tweet from Kourtney Kardashian about their 30% pre-sale for their Sears clothing line. They have some pretty stuff, will you be buying any of it?
Kardashian Kollection now at sears.com

It does look like stuff they would wear, whether that's your style or not is the question.

www.urbandecay.com

After the bookstore and dinner, the hubby pulled into the JC Penney with the Sephora attached and said "Go get your palette". I was out of that car before he could park heheh

I went in right to the Urban Decay stand ready to pick up my 15th anniversary palette and they were nowhere to be found not even a place for them. I assumed they just didn't have them and started looking at other pretty goodies before I gave up and just left.

The associate approached me and I asked her if they had it. Long story short after going between 2 associates and describing the product, looking it up on the internet for them one of them remembered seeing it. They hadn't even put up the display for it yet and it was in the back stockroom all alone waiting for me to come buy it ehhe.

She came out with it and was just as excited as I was to get it! It's beautiful I will do a full review with swatches and comparisons.

Do you have the palette?

I love being apart of this blogging community and all the people I have met. However, outside of the just the beauty community I love to follow healthy living, design, and just interesting and different blogs. I am also a huge fan of You tube channels and it's where I spend some time during the week watching videos.

I wanted to share just a few of my most visited sites and you tube channels. It's about sharing the love!
There are a lot of people that have been left off but I promise to do more of these.

First up is a fellow beauty blogger that has became a friend of mine, if only she didn't live in Canada I think we would be spending time together watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia hehe.We starting blogging around the same time she was one of my first followers and I just love her blog and her honest reviews. Please if you aren't already go follower her and show her the love!
It's Taygan from http://montsergirl.blogspot.com/

Second is Leigh from http://beauty.beflossy.com/ she always has some great and honest reviews. Plus she also makes me go out and buy more stuff just because I see it on her page hehe. I have been following this blog for a long time now and I honestly think it keeps getting better and better.

Here are some other blogs and/or You tube channels that I follow that you should too!

Emily from Beauty Broadcast http://www.youtube.com/emilynoel83 , I don't think you will meet a nicer person. If I tweet her with "What eyeliner are you using" she tweets me back. If I comment on her video that has 69,000 views she comments back. I think for someone who has over 150,000 followers on You tube to take the time out to answer my dumb question's tells you what kind of person she is. If you aren't already following her on you tube go ahead what are you waiting for?Plus this is her blog/website link if you wan't to follow that as well http://www.beautybroadcast.net/

Gina or better known as The Fitnessista http://fitnessista.com/ is a healthy lifestyle and food blogger. I have followed her blog for many years and I just think she keeps getting nicer. I like seeing people who are truly appreciative of all the followers and comments they get. Gina is a sweet girl and though she may not know me personally but she always takes the time to email me back. She is very inspiring if you are looking to just live a healthier lifestyle, and just how to be happier in general.

Rebecca from Robeson Designs http://www.youtube.com/user/robesondesign if you have ever needed design inspiration watch her channel. I not only fell in love with her amazing talents but her Adventures in Italy video's made me want to be her daughter so I could go with her ehheh. She is just a sweet person and very genuine and you can pick up on that through her videos.

Last but not least is a tie for cutest couples ever and I must admit I love watching their day in the life videos.
Sam and Jay (moo and phoenix too)from http://www.youtube.com/user/schuermanshow The Schuerman Show. They are just too cute and Sam reminds me so much of myself with her love all things pink and hello kitty. If you want to see her beauty channel which is also amazing http://www.youtube.com/user/samanthaschuerman

Of course how could I leave out http://www.youtube.com/user/LeFloofTV The SacconeJoly's they are too cute and I swear he is the funniest person ever hehe. I find myself laughing out loud watching their videos and I have no idea why half the time. I know you will love them so go subscribe you will enjoy it too! You can follow Anna's Fashion and Beauty page as well http://www.youtube.com/user/TheStyleDiet

Let me know what blogs you love to visit and if you have an unhealthy You Tube addiction and what your watching.

Thanks for visiting and all my love!
