1. Have you always been into makeup as much as you are now? Has being a beauty blogger or watching You Tube videos about makeup increase your love?
Oh no, no, no. I have youtube to blame for that! ha. Well I always had an interest in it but never knew how to really do it good. I did very minimal and never experimented. Then I came across youtube video's and it just took off. I learned better techniques. What to use, what not to use, and to just have fun!
Being a beauty blogger has definitely increased my love for all these beauty products. Now I want to try everything out, let everyone know about the good stuff vs the bad stuff, and what not to buy! I know I am not the best but I am loving what I do for me and what I can give my opinion about as well as seeing what others do too!

2. Where do you find inspiration when doing your makeup, hair, and fashion?
Honestly, myself. I hope that doesn't sound rude or conceited cause I don't meen it like that at all! I just have never been one that really has relied on someone else for inspiration all the time. I really love to just experiment, I just do what I think I will like and hope it turns out well. Let me tell you its went both ways! But, if I do feel like I need some inspiration, I turn to bloggers/youtubers I follow. If that fails I just need to stay home, close the blinds and hope no one shows up!

3.Is there a celebrity that you would like to steal their look?
I found that I really love how Jennifer Lopez had her makeup done on American Idol. It was always different, sometimes daring, sometimes girly, and other times just nice and simple.

4.Is there a celebrity that you would like to do a makeover on? Who and why?
Oh goodness, ummm probably would choose Lindsey Lohan. She used to be so pretty and I really liked her. Now every time I see her I think, What the hell did she do to herself! She is a bit of a train-wreck lately though. Sad cause I really think she is a talented actress!

5.Do you have a Holy Grail makeup item? Holy Grail Beauty item (lotion, perfume ,hair product)
Concealer! I have dark under eye circle so anything to help that, I will be in love with!  Currently one of my favorites is benefit Erase paste. Just love it!

6.Is there a beauty trend that you just don't understand or you will never follow?
Sharpie looking eyebrows. I don't get it and probably never will.

7.Is there something you could tell us about yourself that might surprise us or that we might not know just from your videos/blog?
Hmmm, well I don't know if it will be a surprise but I can tell you a little about me and then you tell me if your surprised?! I am 30 years young with 3 kids. I was a teen mom and had 2 of my kids before age 20. It was hard but I don't regret it one bit. I am lucky enough to be a stay at home mama. In my spare time, I foster scared cats and kittens. My goal is to get them adoptable. So far, I have turned every cat into an adoptable loving family pet. I guess I have a talent for those scared cats!
These two black and white kitties were so scared that they hid and just would shake. Now they are out in the open, confident and loving!

8.What made you or When did you decide to start a beauty blog?
I started my blog March 2011

What made me start is when I found out about it. I had no idea about the blogging world until I got into Youtube and was shown from there. I instantly saw how fun it was and knew I had to do it. I didn't know if I would be successful but I thought it would be a great outlet for me to express what I love and what I have learned. Now I have over 1200 followers and am so thankful to them all every day! They keep this fun for me and I love meeting new people from all over the world!

9.Can you tell us what music you like to listen to when you’re getting ready? What musician or songs you enjoy listening to when you’re doing hair and makeup?
I love everything. I grew up loving R&B, rap, and boy bands(NKOTB & Backstreet will always have a special place in my heart!lol) Now I listen to everything: Country, pop, rap, r&b, oldies, rock, just a mix of it all. My favorite era is probably the 90's though. It really was the best music IMO. I usually put my phone on pandora and do the mix of all my channels. Currently they are country hits, top hits, 80's and the 90's :) One of my favorite songs right now is One More Night by Maroon 5, I can listen to it over and over and over.

10.Do you have any advice for anyone who is interested in starting a beauty blog?
Do it for the right reasons, not to try to have a popularity contest or trying to get free stuff. Do it because you will enjoy it and want to do it. Let your personality show through and don't try to right it for someone else or the way you think someone else would do it. We all want to get to know you and what you love. We want to see your personality. Also, respond to people. There are blogs that get big and stop responding to people or just don't at all. To me that is rude. Your blog wouldn't be anywhere if it wasn't for all the loyal people who follow your blog. Let them know how much that means to you by commenting back or going to check out their blog and follow. I don't care how big my blog gets, I will ALWAYS write back to everyone. That is one thing that keeps me doing this. You beauties are AWESOME!

11.What is your favorite thing about having a beauty blog? How do you feel yours is different than many others out there?

I think my favorite thing is finding out what is out there. There are so many products and brands I wasn't aware of till I got started in the blogging world. I really honestly didn't know Urban Decay from Wet n Wild and now they are 2 of my most favorites!

Mine is different because it is from me! It is my take on everything and shows my world. I love to incorporate my life and show here and there what I do on weekends or on Vacations. I just did a post on my mini Vaca with my parents to Boise and thought it was fun to share those little tidbits. You can see that post:  http://www.mirandasmakeupandmore.com/2012/09/vacation-pictures-haulpic-heavy.html

Thank you so much for doing this interview with me! Is there anything else you would like to add?Thank you so much for interviewing me! This really has been so fun to answer these questions! I think if there is anything to add it would be, I would love to get to know whoever reads this! Stop by say hi and don't be afraid to chit chat with me on my blog, Facebook, or twitter!

$12.00 each Both of these soaps offer great cleansing to the skin. I did not have any problems with additional breakouts or skin drying.  The citrus has a great aroma, and was very refreshing!
$50
I was not sure about this just because I break out pretty easily and I suffer from oily skin. This product is an oil so I didn't know about using it. However, it is a great product and did not break me out or make me have more oil on my skin. I applied it per the directions after I cleansed by skin, with it still wet. It really helped my skin feel amazing.

$15
I love that this product is so natural. The color is from beets and it is a lip gloss without the stickiness.  I keep this in my purse so I can get a natural flush to my lips without worrying if it's rubbing off on my teeth. This is a great lip gloss, and has a nice staying power.

made with beet powder

$20

Of all the products I received I cannot rave about this one enough. I have used it for any breakout that I could feel coming on or that was already on my skin. I love that is has the roller ball so I can put it on my finger and then on the spot without wasting product on a cotton ball.  It didn't dry out my skin but it did a great job drying out the actual breakout. If you want to try anything and you suffer with breakouts try this product first!

First up is this Men's Shaving and Body Bar $6.95

I am a bad beauty blogger and when I get bars of soap I take them out of their packaging, cut them into squares and label them into baggies. It is so much easier than trying to keep bars of soap in the tub or on the vanity. So I have no photos of these soaps because it would not do them justice. So you can see this photo which shows the nice packaging it comes in :)
This says it's for men, however the hubby and I both used it. We loved it and did not notice any irritation or did we notice having to go back and re-shave because it wasn't smooth enough. Plus we did not notice any strong "natural" scent which a lot of natural products have. My husband actually enjoyed using this, and thought it gave a nice lather. So this will be something to keep on his list for his Christmas stocking :)

Naked Organix Sea Buckthorn Cleansing Bar $6.49

This bar is amazing, it is free from all the bad things that we shouldn't be putting on our skin. It not only cleanses my oily skin, and takes away the makeup but it does not leave it feeling dry. I noticed a few natural products make my skin feel like there is still something on there no matter how much I wash it off. Not the case with this bar, it has a nice natural aroma and cleanses off nicely. I have combination skin, but this worked well for me. I didn't experience any breakouts or any other skin issues after using this. You can use it in the shower also for your whole body but I just cut it up into small pieces and lathered it into my hands and washes my face with it.

I can go to sleep at night knowing that I did not put 10 chemicals onto my skin.

Have you tried any products from Organix South? Please go and check out all the amazing products that this company offers! Especially if you are interested in the natural products that are out there.

I know they are not 100 percent identical however, they are close enough that you do not need the MU Forever HD blush. The ELF blush is just as creamy and long lasting as the MU Forever blush.

The packaging, the container, the contents everything are just incredible. You have to be careful when applying these blushes they are very pigmented. I put a little out on a palette (you can use the back of your hand) and dab a stipple brush into the product and blend it around. Then I gentle build it on my cheek.

Let me know what you think! Is this a good dupe?

1. Have you always been into makeup as much as you are now? Has being a beauty blogger or watching You Tube videos about makeup increase your love?
I wasn't always into makeup.  In 8th grade I was in a play at school and it killed me that I had to wear mascara, I didn't want anything to do with it at all.  I definitely think, since becoming a blogger, seeing all of the creative ways other bloggers and some You Tube gurus use makeup to transform themselves has made me fall more in love with makeup.  It really can make such a difference.
2. Where do you find inspiration when doing your makeup, hair, and fashion?
Well lately I've been boring and just doing neutral, simple looks.  But I find inspiration in things around me, especially nature's color combinations.  I love the way nature has all color combinations perfectly mixed.

3.Is there a celebrity that you would like to steal their look?
I always love me some Jennifer Lopez, she always looks amazing.  And Jessica Alba because she's stunning.

4.Is there a celebrity that you would like to do a makeover on? Who and why?
Kesha.  She's such a mess.  I get she's trying to do her own thing but she looks sloppy so much of the time.

5.Do you have a Holy Grail makeup item? Holy Grail Beauty item (lotion, perfume ,hair product)
Holy Grail makeup item... hmm... my Maybelline concealers, the dark circle eraser and the Super Stay concealer.  I can't live without them.  Beauty items?  I use Vaseline non-scented lotion when I get out of the shower and it really helps my skin stay hydrated.

6.Is there a beauty trend that you just don't understand or you will never follow?
I can appreciate the beauty in it but I would never bleach my eyebrows so light that you can't see them.  It's just not for me.

7.Is there something you could tell us about yourself that might surprise us or that we might not know just from your blog?
Hmm... I'm pretty much an open book on my blog but I guess I'd have to say that I'm not always as positive as I seem.  I get down and depressed just like everyone else, I just choose to focus on the good things in my life.

8.What made you or When did you decide to start a beauty blog?
I started posting on Makeup Geek and one girl would always ask me when I was going to get a blog.  It took me a while to follow through with it because I really didn't think anyone would care about what I had to say.

9.Can you tell us what music you like to listen to when you’re getting ready? What musician or songs you enjoy listening to when you’re doing hair and makeup?
I like upbeat music, songs that make your head swing back and forth.  "Mmm bop" by Hanson is a favorite of mine, I like Carrie Underwood, Britney Spears (her old stuff), and interestingly enough, I really like Will Smith's, "Switch" song haha.

10.Do you have any advice for anyone who is interested in starting a beauty blog?
Learn how to take good pictures.  Pictures make the biggest difference.

11.What is your favorite thing about having a beauty blog? How do you feel yours is different than many others out there?
I love being able to hopefully help teach some people new things, whether it's a new product, or something more personal.  How is mine different?  I'd have to say that I'm just completely honest.  If I love something, I'll tell you, if I hate it, I'll tell you.  Also if something is going on in my life, I'm open and honest about that as well.

12.What are some of your favorite beauty blogs?
I love "Pigments & Palettes" by Meredith Jessica, "Bows and Curtseys" from Ronnie, "Prettymaking" by Mandy, "Unique Desire" by Kassie, "Makeup by Siryn" from Dawn.  There are so many incredible blogs out there it's so hard to choose just a few.

I had to include this last photo because it just shows her range and skill! One of my favorite looks she has done.

I just got these in the mail yesterday and wanted to get this post up soon! You must have these if you love to play around with your blush shades. I will be buying more for my kit because these are for me :)

The day after ELF released them they put up a half off code for their studio line. So not only did I get these for $1.50 each, they are high quality blushes. I have a few of the MU Forever blushes and it hurts that I payed $26 for them.

I will be doing some more reviews in the next few days, with more new ELF products!

$49.95 Nordic Naturals

100% Vegetarian and Vegan friendly Algae Omega !

I love having my daily green juice or smoothies and being able to add my vitamins in with this liquid formula has been great. It is lemon flavored but it is very subtle. I am not a fan of lemon flavors and this did not bother me at all. It does not have an after taste nor does it leave a oily residue that some liquid vitamins have done before.

This vitamin supplies you with your Omega-3's EPA and DHA. It supports your heart, vision, immune system and even promotes a positive mood. These are all things that are important to me when looking for something to include in my vitamins. I have truly enjoyed this and I suggest it to everyone who is a vegetarian and looking for non fish related Omega 3's.

If you are interested in trying this or many other vitamins from Nordic Naturals please check out their website, like them on facebook and follow them on twitter!

The Beautiful Anastasia brings us another great brow product!

Ash Blonde-Light to Dark Blonde Hair

I love this product, the shade is my perfect match and the tip is so fine that it goes on very natural. You do not have to work with it to make it look natural, so if brows are hard for you I suggest you try this.
I love having the spooley on the end, so I can run it through my brows when I am done. I especially when I am doing on the go makeup I can just throw this in my bag and not worry about 2 products. I have literally used this as my go to brow product since I got it a month ago. I know you will love it too!

Brow Wiz comes in 4 shades and is available for only $20. You can buy it anywhere Anastasia products are sold!

If you want glamour you want Winks eyelashes. I love wearing lashes, and using lashes on my clients. If I am having a down day, just playing with looks using fun lashes changes everything. When I got these Winks by Georgie in the mail I could not believe how amazing they were. First the packaging, the box itself is beautiful. Then you get the lashes and the glue that come in a compact all on their own. They are dermatologist tested, PETA and Vegan certified.Their glue does not contain all the harsh chemicals that most lash glues contain, such as formaldehyde.

$28 for this compact Le Starlette

You can get 50 uses out of their lash glue(2 lashes counts as 1 application).  The compact cost $28 and for lash refills to put back in this compact they are $15 and the glue is $8. I have used these lashes twice and have had no issues. I was afraid of the natural glue not holding, but that was definitely not the case. The lashes still look nice and I know I can get a few more uses out of them. I will be buying refills. I am also considering buying another set with the compact to give to my brides.

If you are interested in purchasing these amazing lashes you can find them at Nordstroms, Neiman Marcus,Cos Bar,Beautybar.com and many other locations.

Please check them out I know you will love them as much as I did!

3.8 oz for $60.00 on June Jacobs.com

Looks and smells like pumpkin

Free of Parabens, preservatives, synthetic dyes and sulfates

I started using this product a few months ago, and I must say it is a treat. You feel like you have treated yourself to a nice facial. This scrub contains crushed bamboo and jojoba micro beads which explains that luxurious feeling. It will put you in the mood for fall, because it smells just like pumpkin which is amazing! My skin was not irritated and it did not cause me to break out.

I loved this scrub and the fact that it is almost gone, and will make an appearance in my empties very soon says a lot. My husband also enjoyed it, and I have caught him using it a few times because he liked the way it left his skin feeling. I used it at least twice a week, but I have used it more often when I wanted that nice clean feeling.Especially with this summer heat, and all I wanted was for my face to feel refreshed.

Have you tried this product? If you want to know more, please check them out!

$34 at Sephora.com

My shade was light 42 (the lightest shade)

The formulation is full coverage for sure. It is thick and better used with a wet beauty sponge. I mixed it with a little moisturizer and applied with my fingertips. I eventually just used it to spot cover and then just used my bare minerals on the rest of my face that needed to breathe.

I suggest this foundation for anyone who wants that full coverage. It honestly covers everything and it has been holding up in the heat. It comes with a pump which I love, and a little bit goes a very long way. You will want to try half a pump to start with because I didn't need a full pump.

I will probably buy a few more shades for my kit for clients who will want that full coverage. I can mix and match.

I also like that it is priced reasonable for a full coverage foundation. I asked for samples from my JCP Sephora and the girls didn't hesitate to give me 2 different samples of the lightest shades. I used those samples for awhile because you can get so much out of this product.

Have you tried this foundation? What is your favorite full coverage foundation?

Look at all the magazines that were waiting for me!

3 new books for inspiration in beauty and fashion!

♥ These candles from Glade (3 candles) and 1 room spray!

I am back from the concert and wanted to get these pictures taken so I could get everything put up! If you have specific questions about any of the products please ask! I will do individual reviews on anything that I love. I must say that I went to Sephora for the Smoked palette and they were sold out. I went to get the LORAC PRO palette and I got the last one they had. I have used it already, and I am in LOVE. All the hype is true it is beautiful and even if you have Naked or neutral palettes you need it :)
