Ouidad Curl Recovery Melt-down Extreme Repair Mask $40

What they say:
Ouidad's Curl Recovery Melt-down Extreme Repair Mask is a luxurious treatment with their proprietary CR-4 Repair Complex - including nutrient-rich Mafura Butter and Kalahari Melon Seed Oil - that envelopes the hair shaft with a cushion-like coating of concentrated fatty acids vital to rebuilding, nourishing and protecting hair.

What I say:

First a little background on my hair, it is heavily color treated, and has a natural wave to it. However, with my hair being damaged the wave is more of a crimp and that is why I have to curl or straighten my hair. After using this product twice a week for almost 8 weeks I finally have a review for you.The first few times I used it I honestly didn't notice results. I thought it was going to be instant, and I was a little discouraged. However, after a few uses I noticed that my hair just felt better. It dried a lot faster, and my hair can air dry and the natural curl is actually a curl. The fact that my hair has the natural wave back to it tells me that it is getting the moisture it needs.

I like it a lot more than the Macadamia Deep Repair mask, that product didn't help my hair at all and it was also a little pricey. That would be my only downfall to the product, but if it works I don't care to pay the money. I spend money on drugstore stuff trying to find something that I love when I could have just gotten the more expensive one to start with.

I will eventually repurchase this product, it will be hard for me to spend the money. It will be a treat for my hair that's for sure. I wanted it to not work or be amazing so I wouldn't have to consider it heheh.

How I use it:
I only apply this to the ends of my hair or a few inches from my roots where the ombre starts. I put enough to cover the hair and use a wide tooth comb, and brush it through. I do everything else I need to do in the shower, sing a little song and rinse it out. The longer I leave it in the better my hair feels and it smells amazing. I have not used it overnight although I have read reviews that it works amazing. I generally just leave it on for 15 minutes and then just rinse out.

Have you tried this mask? What is your favorite hair mask? What's the most you spend on hair products?
