First up is this beautiful blue Hydra Sponge, which is a beauty sponge for those who are not familiar with this type of beauty tool. It is first of all larger than the original beauty blender, if you are use to working with that. When you use it wet, it does double in size and become softer. This blender is still quiet dense but holds its shape. It is not like the cheap beauty sponge I reviewed a few weeks ago however. It is easy to work with and doesn't have that weird play doh scent that the cheaper sponges I have used have.I have used it with my loose and the pressed bye bye pores. With the loose I use the sponge damp and with the pressed I use it dry and roll it across the product then pressing it onto my skin.
The Heavenly Luxe Wand Ball brush is in one word perfection. If you want to feel true luxury it is this brush, and every brush I have used from it Cosmetics. If you are into "cooking" or "baking" your makeup this is great for dusting away excess powder. It is soft and pointed making it fit perfectly under your eyes, and into the contours of the face. I love it for applying blush, it is so soft the product just glides onto the skin.
If you have large pore and/or suffer from oily skin this Bye Bye Pressed Powder is going to be your new best friend. I like that I can travel with this, and it isn't as messy as the loose powder, which I also love.
It works really great to keep oil at bay, while making the pores disappear. That is why I like to use the sponge with this product so you can roll it onto the skin and work the product into the pores. I have not had breakouts, or any issues with this product either. It is also another product that I will purchase for my Pro kit!

Curious about that new blender from IT. I'd love to see how it looks wet and doubled in size because I'm not sure that would be a benefit for me. Definitely interested though. I love everything I've bought from IT Cosmetics
ReplyDeleteIt is nice because it's larger than the original BB so you can cover more area. This sponge would work better for BB Creams/Tinted Moisturizers or laying a base onto the skin. Hope that helps!
DeleteI think I need that pressed powder, the hot weather in California is doing a number on my oily skin!
ReplyDeleteYes, this pressed travels so well so you can just blot with it. However, if you really roll it onto the skin with a sponge it will keep you oil free for awhile. I know the humidity is worse than just oil ehhe
DeleteI had no idea that they made a sponge. So interesting! How is it compared to the Beauty Blender?
ReplyDeleteIt is bigger, so it covers more of an area..It is also not as soft but it holds it's shape and becomes a little fluffier when wet. I would use it for bb creams, tinted moisturizers not heavy products. I like it a lot but think they are both different products!
DeleteThat brush, tho... I want it. Like. Passionately. :D
ReplyDeleteGirl you need it! I love their brushes, so luxurious hehe
DeleteI want to try their sponge!
ReplyDeleteIt Cosmetics have the best synthetic brushes!
ReplyDeleteThat brush looks HEAVENLY!
ReplyDeleteMy next buy from IT will be the pressed powder. I'm trying to get the very last bits of the loose powder out of the container since I love it so much.
ReplyDeleteThat sponge! I saw your post about it on IG, and couldn't wait for the review. I love the color. IT has great tools hands down.
ReplyDeleteIT has so much to love! You need the Heavenly Luxe Powder brush too!
ReplyDeleteI live by their Bye Bye Undereye! Love It Cosmetics!
ReplyDeleteOk I need that pressed powder pronto
ReplyDeleteI've never tried using that sponge dry with powder. Now I have to try it!
ReplyDeleteI need to try that sponge! I've not seen it before. I love, love, love my wand ball brush and the pressed byebye pores. I use the included sponge to pat on the powder, then use the wand ball brush to lightly brush off the excess. Perfect pairing.
ReplyDeleteI love all of the IT Cosmetics brushes. I have using the bye bye pores loose powder lately and love it!
ReplyDeleteIt's good to know their sponge holds up well! I usually stick to beautyblender because I worry that others won't be up to par. I'm a major fan of IT cosmetics so I'll definitely try it out!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried anything from It Cosmetics - but I hear great things. This sounds lovely.
ReplyDeleteSo, do you like this one better than the beauty blender? Or do you think they are similar enough?
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried the sponge, but I LOVE basically every other IT product. That exact brush + bye bye pores is perfection for setting my undereye concealer!
