Drugstore Scary Clown Makeup

by - 10:46 AM

I have some big ideas for Halloween this year but the most asked question I get is, can I just use the cheap stuff from the drugstore. So I wanted to create a fun (okay scary) look using one of those little sets from Dollar General these to sets together cost $3. I also used my ELF concealer brush to draw on my face with the paints it is $1 at Dollar General(Target,Wal-Mart).
BOO!

This was a quick look, and you can obviously make it a fun little clown like they intended. I will be sharing how I made my Wicked Clown look using this kit. I took the white paint, scooped it out into my hand and warmed it up. Once it was smooth, I rubbed it all over my face and down my neck. I then took my Elf concealer brush, in the black paint and over drew my big smile, some clown like diamonds around my eyes. I added a little circle at the top of those diamonds in black and went back with the red and touched it up a little for some color.

The creepy clown teeth were just drawn on with the black paint and filled in with a little bit of the white and I did cheat and took a yellow shadow and filled them in. You could just grab another kit that has yellow in it if you want the yellow teeth. I filled the smile in with black paint, topped with red paint and then I added the zombie blood. The zombie blood is dark and thick so it works great for that gross blood effect. You can get the other kind if you want it to be more drippy and oozing :)

I then added the clown nose, and my own creepy stare and there ya have it. This took less than 10 minutes to complete, and is very affordable. Hope you enjoy!

TIPS: If you are going to be wearing this all night, or to a party I suggest topping off with a powder, or shadows in matching shades. This paint is very oily, and would come off pretty quick.

You could use a black liner to get a cleaner more precise look, I just wanted to stick to the kit as much as possible. I would also line my eyes and probably add a large cut or wound.

What other Halloween looks would you like to see?
Pretty or Gross I like them all :)
