Nars Shadow in Fez $24 at Sephora and Elf Shadow in Saddle $3 at Target and ELF.COM

You may look at these and think, no they are not a dupe someone tell her she needs glasses. However, if you see the swatches once they are on the skin and blended out they are pretty identical!
Can you tell if I flipped the image on you or not? Of course Nars is like butter goes on this shade the first swatch. ELF held its own with 2 swatches which is pretty good for $3. This is also without primer and without wetting either one also just right out of the packaging.
They are as photographed above Nars and then ELF but I wanted you to really think if you were being brand loyal and automatically saying NARS IS BETTER heheh. I use to do dupe posts a lot and I got a lovely email from a reader asking why I don't talk about ELF anymore. So this is for you, and I am going to go online and place an order so I can continue to post about what my readers like!

Hope you enjoyed this post, and just know that there are quality drugstore items out there. Once the product is on your eye no one knows if it's $24 or not it's all about application! I love being able to share good dupes with you!

Do you own these shadows? Do you think they are a good dupe?

It's that time again where I am completely bored with my hair. I have stopped putting dye on it so it would be healthy. That has worked but it's below my shoulder blades now when I straighten it. With it being 90 degrees outside it immediately goes up in a high top bun or a high pony to keep it off my neck.

I have gotten a trim, had bangs cut a few months back and I am still just bored with my hair. Long story short the hubby said to me over dinner, it's been awhile since you have changed your hair. I said "Do you miss not knowing who or what you might come home to" he said my hair was always a mystery for him hehe.

I never ask him or tell him when I change my hair and he has never cared either way. I cannot find any pictures since my other laptop has died on me ,of my hair journey. However, I can find some online to share the pics I took in to get my hair cut like. So in the past 2 years this has been my journey through celebrity hairstyles!

My hair started like Gwen Stefani's
(Hence the title of the blog post my hubby use to sing to me Colours by Donovan and that is from that song)

Platinum blonde couple inches below my shoulders

I took this picture to the hairstylist and said I want this cut. She was nervous and asked me 5 times if I was sure. She then asked my sister who is my partner in hair crimes if I was being serious hehe.

I let the sides grow out a bit and I kept this cut for a few months  and kept it platinum for a little while.

Here we are 2 years later and my hair is o'mbre with bangs that I wear back in a bump most days.

I have been trying to decide what I want to do and if you follow me on Pinterest you can see the Hair folder and how there is no structure of the hair styles I want heh. This is the cut I am wanting I am gonna leave my hair color for awhile at least.

All images were found via my Pinterest Hair Folder these are not my photos and I am not the people in the pictures!

I am not afraid of change I wish I had pictures to show you. It has been short and pink, long and red, black, brown, highlighted, shaved, you name it in the past 2 years alone it has been everything you can imagine heh.

So the purpose of this post is, I need some help talking me out of it or into it heheh

What have you done with your hair? Do you get bored with long hair too?

Refreshing Crackling Ice Body Water Lemon Scented
by Perlier

5oz for $24.50 at HSN.com

What they say about the Crackling Water
  • Sparkling and crisp
  • Moisturizes and refreshes in one step
  • Makes your skin pleasantly smooth and scented
  • Crackles when applying to skin
  • Provides sudden and strong cooling effect
  • Formulated with food ingredients, just like a true fruit sorbet
  • Fresh and light texture gives a sorbet-like effect on the skin
  • Made in Italy

Keep it in the fridge next to the Coconut Milk and Coconut Water hehe

This is something completely new and unique and it's been really fun trying out. I first tried it out on my hand when I first got it and it was a fun crackle and had a refreshing scent. Then after reading it I noticed that you were suppose to put it in the fridge and apply after being in the sun or on a hot day.

So after my hubby did crossfit I stopped him and said try this and tell me what you think. He is not opposed to being my guinea pig so he didn't ask questions. He said it wasn't sticky, and had a nice cooling effect. He thought it was food when he saw it in our fridge, so he was confused by me having him use it on his body.

It is quiet nice and has a great cooling/crackling effect that's hard to describe. This is something that would be nice to give to someone as a gift, but it's not something you are gonna use everyday. However, if you are like me I hate applying thick, heavy lotions in the summer so this is a nice alternative. You get the moisturized feeling without feeling like you have product all over you.

These are 2 pictures I tried to capture so you could see the "crackling" effect. They look weird because of being lemon and the crackling but you can get the general idea.

It just disappears into your skin, and leaves no residue!

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Blush a Floral and Flirty scent find out more @ BatisteHair.com

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Lace the scent is Seductive and Elegant find out more @BatisteHair.com

If you are like me then you are always on the search for a good dry shampoo. I use to only use the cheapest one I could find they couldn't be that much more different, right? Well after using Batiste I changed my tune because they are not all created equal. Being a makeup artist I am up in women's faces all day, and sometimes the days turn into nights and I get little to no sleep. I always shower but with my hair being naturally wavy and below my shoulder blades, I don't have time to wash it every morning. Plus, it's color treated and I try to not wash it on purpose so it has some natural oils.

I have used Batiste before I was sent these to review. My tip for girls with darker hair, I have o'mbre hair so my roots are darker than the rest of my hair. Before I go to bed, I spray my roots and brush it through. I don't usually have to spray it again in the morning and it helps get rid of any powder look you might be afraid of. However, I don't notice that these particular products give that white cast on my roots. I do spray my hair again in the morning because it smells nice and I hope it hides my dirty hair heh. Batiste does make a dry shampoo for almost every shade of hair but if you are trying another scent that is not made for your hair this tips works!

I love that each one gives a different scent so people will just think its your shampoo and your hair doesn't smell the same all the time. I love every Batiste I have tried but the winner out of all of them so far has to be Lace! I sprayed it in my hair before the hubby and I did dinner and a movie and I wanted some root lift. He told me that he liked my perfume but I had only used this Lace Batiste in my hair. It's a nice deep vanilla scent, it almost smells like something you would wear going out at night.

I always find great deals on Batiste at Ulta but you can buy it at most grocers and drugstores. After I visited their page to link to the products I saw so many other Dry Shampoo scents that I have not seen or tried yet! I cannot wait to get my hands on them! Plus I saw they have root lifting powders and now Conditioning Mist, these make me excited heh

Beauty Mark Organics-100% Organic, Natural and Paraben Free
"Finding the essence of beauty from the inside out"

Rose and Cinnamon Body Polish-4oz for $29

Wow, is the best way to describe this body polish! First let me tell you that the scent is perfect, I did not know what to expect. It has a light hint of rose and a very strong Cinnamon aroma. It not only smells great but it really exfoliates the skin this is from the walnut shells. It is very gentle and did not irritate me at all, but it really strips the dead skin so I could apply fake tanner.

Carrot and Mango Body Butter 4oz for $59
I hate when I buy body butters and they are not thick at all, or its too thick and doesn't leave your skin feeling luxurious. That is not the case with this Carrot and Mango Body Butter, it was the perfect blend of thick and moisturizing. The scent was amazing as well you can tell that its made from pure organic materials because it the scent is so clean there is nothing artificial about it.

Tangerine and Lime Face and Body Cream Cleanser 4oz $32

This cream cleanser smells so nice, the scent is subtle but you it still lingers once you are out of the shower. It has a hint of orange but I definitely pick up on the lime a lot more. It has a great consistency so it doesn't just disappear in my loofah, I can work it into a good lather. It cleanses and doesn't dry out the skin plus it's organic and you cannot ask for more than that! Plus the Vitamin C in this cleanser will help protect against UV Rays that cause skin damage and aging.

3 Wonderful sets of lashes from Eylure each are amazing in their own way!

First up are these Katy Perry Darling Lashes by Eylure $6.99 at Ulta or Eylure.com
*Safe for Contact Lenses
*Lightweight
*Reusable
*Self Adhesive

These are wonderful lashes, they give a great finishing touch to any eye look. I love to put on lashes sometimes just because they are fun and look great. Trust me the next time you are feeling down, put a pair of these lashes on and you will immediately feel better heh. The self adhesive works amazingly well, and I was worried that they may not last like ones with lash glue. I was wrong and they hold on, and last throughout the night.

Katy Perry Color Pop Lashes by Eylure in Ka Ching $7.99 at Ulta or Eylure.com
*Ultra LightWeight
*Quick and Easy
*Safe for Contact Lenses
*Reusable
*Lash Glue Included

I love all lashes, it's just my inner Dolly Parton that draws me to them. I just want you to know that these lashes are AHMAZING! Look at them, you cannot go another second without owning a pair of these. They have several different shades, and there are also apparently individual pink lashes(I know). They are fabulous and the moment you put them on if you want to start doing your best Beyonce (or Katy Perry) impression, don't hold back.

Naturalites by Eylure in style 032 $5.99 at Ulta or Eylure.com
*Lightweight
*Reusable
*Natural Volume
Now these are lashes that I would use on a bride. I do have several different sets of Eylure lashes in my kit for brides. These are great for everyday to give you that fuller look without the "fake" lash look. I have always used the adhesive that was included on my brides and myself and never had any issues. I have never had any issues with the lashes falling off or the glue not holding. I think Eylure has an amazing range of lashes for everyone.

What's inside the bag!

Pssst On the Go Dry Shampoo
I love dry shampoo so this can go in my bag or a gym bag and will work great!

It was 89 degrees when I got my bag out of my mailbox so the items were in melt down hehe
Blended out and Not Blended on Bottom
I have lots of NYX cream blushes but not this shade! I love them, and was happy to get a new one in my bag. I have oily skin so layering with cream blushes and then powder blushes helps keep everything in tact.

J Cat Beauty Creme Palette

When I got this I immediately thought of the NYX cream shadow palettes. However, this really had great payoff and there was glitter all throughout. Unlike in the NYX palette that glitter was just on the top layer, and you couldn't get a good payoff. I cannot wait to wear this out and see how well it stays!

Starlooks Lip Liner in Tipsy

Gel Liner in shade Iron

Swatches of lip liner and eye liner
This lip liner reminds me of some of the new shades from Macs orange collection. It is a coral orange but I love it! If you  have been a longtime reader you might remember I reviewed Cailyn Gel Liners almost 2 years ago, in black and brown! I loved them then and I cannot wait to use this one up. Trust me when I say this liner will not be going anywhere! After I did these swatches I went to wash my hand and this Cailyn liner was not moving, it is a truly long lasting gel liner!

So tell me what you got in your Ipsy bag! This is my first type of monthly box so, I am glad I started with Ipsy because it has treated me good so far hehe.

Thank you for all your birthday wishes, via text, instagram, emails, and blogger comments! I have met some amazing women on here and I appreciate your kindness. Now as you probably know already I went to Atlanta for my birthday weekend, hit up the Natural History Museum and 2 different malls for shopping. I didn't end up buying very much on my list because of unfriendly sales girls, but that's a different story for another post. I did however have fun at Sephora and Ulta which are my usual go to places anyways.

I also found a lot of stuff at my local Kroger and used some Bday cash for some items to try out and review. If you have any specific questions or see anything you definitely want a review on let me know. I will do reviews as I use stuff and love it or if it's a total bust. I am loving my new Kate Spade Iphone case from Bloomingdales, which is my new favorite department store hehe.

Sorry for the lack of posts but I will be back to regular posting this week! Thanks again for all the lovely comments !
